High Elves rock
Great linos and amazing catchers. And now with free loners! It took me like 5 teams in ranked to get the good one (which included a comeback from 8 players). Now i have a quite successful one in Box too.
They are hard in the beggining, but after they acquire some skills it's a hell of a team. I like the 1700TV area for them.

I'm with you brother. I could never make High Elves work in LRB 4. I'm hoping I can make them work in LRB 6, though Blackbox has yet to match me up with anyone even after 5 tries with a brand new team. Probably because the scheduler was too busy shafting one of my other teams with a matchup that always leaves me eating 30-40k in inducements that I just can't spend :(

I never did much with them myself. I just don't care for the playstyle. They don't have the bash of the DE or the speed of the woodies. Plus the fluff just feels bland.
Write em off and play something you like :)

High Elves are amazing.
The hardest thing about playing with them in the box though is how hard they are to TV manage. They only have 2 blitzers and no other players with block or dodge. While Dark Elves have 6 players that are one skill away from blodge which makes keeping high elves going a lot harder if they suffer heavy cas.
Their players are uber expensive as well. I think I played my first 5 games without an apoth, also when you do get an apoth only use it for BH results. That way you are guarenteed to get a player back for the second half.

Just checked your ranked team and the roster you started with was terrible.
You no longer need to buy FF at the start, infact it is best not to.
Start with either
2 Blitzers
1 thrower
all linemen and 3 RR
or
6 Linemen
1 Thrower
2 Catchers
2 Blitzers
2 RR

Hi,
The best things of high elfs are their catchers: ma8 st3 ag4 it is just one of the best possible stat combinations (only wardancers and highelfs catchers have it). Once u compar catchers with wardancers u realize that high elfs is a strong team. For me the real problem of high elfs‘catchers is that they come with catch so you have to pay for it. Im not a fan of the passing game: I consider it risky and not fun. These imply that when I play high elfs im paying for skills that I do not use. When I ve 4 catchers I ve 80TV that is totally wasted. I don’t know if u are a fan of the passing game, but if u don’t like the passing game this may be the reason explaining why u are not successful with high elfs. However u can still be successful with the elfs without making any pass.
For me there is only one possible initial roster:
2blitzers (the first one get dodge and the second one tackle)
1catcher (he plays as the ballcarrier)
8 linemen
3RR (I never start a team with less than 3RR)
I don’t play with throwers and I try to get the 3 other catchers as soon as possible. However I don’t get another catcher if the others haven’t skilled yet. For example, until the first catcher has dodge I don’t buy a new one. In fact, in terms of TV management, I think that the best is to get the new catcher once the others have at least 2skills (blodge). Having 2 catchers without additional skills is not worthy in terms of team value. It is better to have linemen. Therefore, try to skill the catchers in order to be able to buy more, it ll take you some games until u have 4 catchers with blodge but when u have them, high elfs are just one of the best teams of this game.
