I don't understand this "starve the troll strategy". Yes a hungry troll might be more aggressive on the pitch, but then this is what happens.
Personally, I always feed my cheerleaders to the Trolls before a game.
It makes them a bit sleepy (more RS fails, harder to recover from kos...) but avoids this kind of nuance.
