Six faces of Nuffle
After playing against good and bad coaches. I start to feel that some of them are in Nuffles favor. What right some coaches has to good results and favor of Nuffle when I'm not one of them?

Maybe it is time to look into mirror and face, that it's not only luck. Those who are in constant favor are always good coaches. Why is that? Well.. even bad coach become good when dice favors, but good coach will do just fine with less brilliant dices.

So what is the secret? I think it is no-brainer: Maximize chances, minimize opponents chances. Easy as it sounds, it is so hard to accomplish. I must say I envy coaches who has learned that.

In my opinion, in practice good coaches minimize chances of dice, taking only sure dices (2dice blocks with blockskill), play their team accordingly (elves/dwarves), use teams boons and leave bad dices (1dices, -2 dodge places to get into ball) to opponent.

What else there is? How stupid I can be, not to figure it out..

I found the more i played good coaches and avoided newbie matches the faster my grasp of tactics improved. Downside is now that i play only once or twice a week i tend to forget solid routines and play more random-ish again. It's still fun though :)

The "minimice risks" thing is usually ok.
But as you has pointed to elves, sometimes it's good to consider balance for risk/gain (like the leap -2d blitz with Strip Ball)
...and luck is wonderfull, sometimes the Skaven lino breacks armor of the Bob in doubleskulls (it happens, and it's to be expected that sometimes you'll see such things)

Work on the minimising risk thing... once you have that figured then look for riskier moves that yield a high profit, also look at whether they are worth doing earlier or later in the turn.
