Wood for the tree 0 - 1 Ducks of Hazard
First game, draw was a woodie lino team. Basic tactics: stall to drain rerolls (they only had 2), and maximize blocks to drain elves (they only had 11). First half misfires when my bad positioning causes my TD attempt to go bad. Second half, the elves tried to pass in Very Sunny conditions which failed. Grabbed the ball and a few bad elf blocks later the ball, and the 1-0 win was safely in my grasp.
Team development: no skills, bought apo.
In response to different team setup suggestions: I can see most of those suggestions working. The thrower suggestion is tempting, although in my experience sure hands players are even worse sponges than blitzers and catchers... If my team dies, I'll go with the most popular alternative. It doesn't have to be a one-shot thing. :)
