“Nargothrond XXXIV 145 mini-league (TR 175)
Game 4
Most exciting two moments of this game:
Foul by Palenque on Theon Cleftjaw that killed him. Apothecary was so shocked he completely botched the attempt to revive the unfortunate Blitzer.
Blitz by Dagon the Burned that knocked over a Saurus and moved the ball into an optimal position. Not done yet, the Troll Slayer swooped in and picked it up cleanly (with a reroll), then proceeded to score with 1 GFI. Very nice.
My only gripe about this game was the poor gate and subsequently poor payout. What irks me is that I had FF 12 but got less money than the dwarves, who had FF 3 :( Club 145 is supposed to require FF 6 minimum, and the coach of the Nahuatl Hegemony will be filing a complaint with Club 145 management :)
Edit: My CR was below 150 when I entered this tournament, as the Club 145 rules clearly state is allowed. Further more, the mini-leagues have a higher CR at the upper TR ratings (see rule 1). The Nargothrond mini league (TR 175) allows CR 155 coaches. Rule 12 also states you must have a minimum FF 6 to enter.
“Vale Theon Cleftjaw. A great of the game. Over 100 rshing yards and over 200 blocks.
Dagon's second TD in two games was a highlight. Though the gratuitous and unnecessary foul made while he was stalling his first half TD was a lowlight. I accept that Theon was a tempting target though and the Apothecary should have done a better job.
The lack of gate and money was disappointing, more so for the Rabble who can't even afford a new blitzer. Unfortunately the FF didn't rise and remains on 3. Club 145 is supposed to have a FF6 minimum, but it's also supposed to restrict coaches with a CR >150 to stunty races. Flashback (150.11 and coaching Lizards) may want to consider that before lodging a complaint. :)
Skills: Dagon +ST
Edit:
Chill man. I thought from the smiley face you were having a playful swipe. I thought I'd have a playful swipe back. I didn't mean anything by it. i'm not trying to report you. It's hard enough for a coach of my standard to get a good even game so I don't mind playing a few guys with CR > 150 in the Club 145. I thought you were kidding about the complaint. For the record my team's FF was 6 when I entered Club 145. Check out the win/loss ratio. It hasn't been helpful for maintaining FF.
No hard feelings mate. You didn't get much cash but you had no long term damage either and picked up some SPPs, including a Saurus TD. Be happy.”
