What went wrong and what went right?
* Khemrix hit hard, and while that could be expected, they did it early on. We lost Skygge in the very first turn, and our team captain got knocked out right off the bat too. It is difficult to fight Khemri with a lesser amount of players, and it is therefore not too strange to see that we were not able to stop the score.
* In our T8, Eleassar Gürnsonn took out a Tomb Guardian, which was of vital importance.
* The second half looked to be going better for us, with a more even distribution of players. With the ball handed to Max of Nuln, a score looked certain... But remained out of reach when he was sacked. A little bit of chaos later, a ball bouncing just right, and then Tiallin Turncloak took the score for us.
* Unfortunately, the score came too early, leaving Khemrix three turns to attain a victory. Which they did, mostly because we seemed to be empty of energy. Our blitz to take down the ball carrier never even reached the ball carrier, and a hand-off later, and the victory was awarded to the skeletal team.
What have we learned?
Early losses are hard against a Khemri team, but that does not mean all hope is lost. This game could have certainly been a draw as well.
Best Doctrine Performance:
Eleassar Gürnsonn, for taking out a Tomb Guardian, which made an essential difference for the second half.
Retirement & Death:
Alas, we say goodbye to Skygge, so early in his career, and it looks like the Former Underworld King XVI faces retirement...”
