“Here the Villains faced High Elves. Their Wrestler had an early attempt to wrestle down Yggardis in their half but couldn't quite make it. A blitzer soon did the job but picked up and then fell on the last pace away! We decided against trying a tough stall, and scored while we could.
After an Elf fumbled Duke Death charged and cas'd one of their throwers near the ball. Their super fast catcher pulled back and spread the play. One of the Elves died from a poor dodge but eventually they did a big hand off and pass play to score. We had the rare honour of having 17 players available as we raised the dead Dusty Roads. But with no long term space in our lineup we laughed and sent the poor zombie on its way to roam.
With time left I made a major error of leaving one of the Elves we pushed back from the LOS in the way. Plus Kraklow unprotected. Well he did get out to a side cage but he was wrestled down and the ball went off the pitch. The crowd threw the ball back and the Elves had a handoff and TD done in the blink of an eye!
Second half Duke Death dealt more damage but the Elf receiver again pulled back and raced around. We tried to cover the Elves as we could but the fast one easily got his winning TD.
That left us some time for a consolation. It wasn't made easy as Kraklow had to take over the drive after Faceless Hunter was wrestled down.
So in the end Coca Cola had their revenge over us from the last matchup 18 months ago, but we made sure they didn't leave the field unharmed!
