First half the Dwarfs advanced slowly. The Deathroller was a trouble to deal with but it didn't cause too much hurt on the zombies facing it. The Mountain badly hurt a Longbeard and then our Frenzy Zombie had to regenerate damage from a heavy blow. We managed to inch them to the side but we had lost zombies to KOs and we didn't cover quite well enough so the Runner broke through. We still managed to crowd on him, but he crucially dodged away to get a great T8 TD. Mumm-ra did at least kill off a Longbeard but again the Villains have no space on the roster for long term recruits.
Second half, no Deathroller, but Boomer was there. We picked up the ball and despite the perfect defence looked ok, until Boomer threw a bomb at our sure hands carrier and stunned him! Others such as Mumm-ra were blown down soon after but at least we had the ball back. Then another bomb took 2 ghouls and the Mountain down! Kraklow still recovered the ball and it looked like we could equalize. The Mountain then intercepted and threw balls at Longbeards twice! Bonetaker sadly was given a broken neck though we also caused some casualties. It now looked sure for an equalizer. But our frenzy zombie double skulled his 2nd block! Then Boomer did a last shot which took down the ghoul carrier yet again! We still had a chance for a pickup and handoff but the blitz before was failed when a zombie tripped up before his hit! Somehow it was lost.
The Frenzy fail was the only skulled (and not rr'd) block from either side in the entire match!! Even with the Dwarfs doing -3DB and both of us doing 1DBs. The gfi fail was also our first. Those last few moments when it seemed to be going to a draw and the reliability just went. But the bomb was a fun finish. I managed to forget about my bribe being useful in the 2nd half!
The Villains go off in shame at letting go of the draw after solid work. We carry Bonetaker off, but will probably keep the Guard skele even if it is rather lacking agility now. Seal also increases the bloat as he is awarded star zombie status! ”
