They received and after a quick pass were straight down our flank. Their mighty blow wardancer Aina had the ball and KO'd The Black Wight. But he stalled in range of Duke Death and was taken down. Brilliantly Aina ko'd the second Wight too and grabbed the ball in the end zone for the TD.
The Elves then blitzed us, went through a gap and their super agile player caught the kick! A game winning moment. But then both our mummies amazingly caused big guy kills! The Mountain killed their rostered Treeman and Mumm-ra killed the Zoat star in successive blows. Talk about fury.
But the Elves could still stall as more of our players were taken out including a KO and a cas by the impressive Aina. We hit more out near half-time but they had their 2-0 lead. We did have a chance for a TD back after a riot but Kraklow fell over when trying to get forward quick. The Mountain and the Black Wight had at least added further casualties.
Second half we setup with 11 v 7 players, hoping we could make a comeback. The wizard's fireball delayed our advance! But we regained the ball..until that cursed Aina ko'd the Ghoul carrier. Then after another recovery we were strip balled! Then Faceless Hunter got it back.. raced forward and tripped up next to the end zone! After a series of surprise fumbles by either side Kraklow finally got the ball for our delayed first TD. Meanwhile the Mountain had an impressive third casualty by badly hurting their star Tree in the middle of the pitch.
With some time left the Elf receiver fumbled. We saw an equaliser chance but Kraklow couldn't grab that damn ball either. Then both sides failed to get it again and the match was over.
A narrow defeat! Although the Elves did brilliantly in the first half the massive casualties from our Mummies should have been taken better advantage of to equalise. But more care of the ball needed next time.”
