It's been an uphill struggle for the FOURTH WALL since the team graduated from the Winchester Pub Sunday Circuit at the end of last season.

Showing promise, the team entered into a sponsorship deal with the haulage firm BARRETT'S CARTS & WAGGONS; owner and local business big-fish John Barrett Snr. being an avid fan of the game. The initial cash injection enabled the staff to hire the cream-of-the-crop from the Winchester catchment area and the semi-professional team was born.

The team train on the weekends at the purpose-built John Barrett Jnr. stadium on the outskirts of Bannister, home to several of the team's players. The stadium was designed to seat up to 5,000 fans; this, coupled with a disastrously mismanaged promotional campaign has meant the FOURTH WALL has been unable to attract many supporters.

The team remains optimistic, hoping for a good run of play that will increase the local profile of the sport.

THE WRITING ON THE WALL (5th Feb 2011)
After a long hiatus the Wall has been entered into the 2011 February Albion Regional Challenge, drawing against the Souless Revivial. Fans, sponsors and local undertakers alike are awaiting the game with baited breath. Watch this space for the post-match report.
