THE BAD BAY HACKERS™

Ex-Champions
The Hackers had won two Blood Bowl World Chapionships and there was no stopping them. In their third attempt at the World Championship, as defending champions, they experienced their first real blow in, what seemed like an eternity ago, when they flew out of the tournament in the first round against a meek goblin team. Many believe it was due to dirty tricks and a bribed ref that got them kicked out, others insist it was their fame that finally got into the players' head. Either way, they rapidly dissolved into oblivion, until now... * * * Pegleg was on his way home - his ship that was docked at the shipyard - after their defeat in the Championships when a drunken Hackers fan got his eye on him and set after him. Pegleg lost his tree leg in the fight whereas he then managed to crawl back to his cabin where he bolted his door shut. His best friend was to be Bugman's finest. But now he's back, and he's meaner than ever. With a fresh leg and fresh faces in his line-up, Pegleg is once again a proud Blood Bowl coach, maybe of a little less stature than he's used to, but a Blood Bowl coach nonetheless! And this time somebody will pay. With a fress team, Pegleg hopes to find the success he once did; can he build the team who'll go on to have all the success in the whole Old World? Only time will tell, but many critics do hope so, if not for his sake, then that of Blood Bowl. Blood Bowl strives with character like his on the sideline.
Pegleg Haken
He's back, and he's madder than before! This time he will show no mercy for his opposition, or his own players unless they perform well enough to please him and his ego.
Killer Contract
A player signing under for Pegleg has almost certainly doomed his life. The only way for a rookie player to get out of Pegleg's grip is either to injure himself - this sees the rookie on his way to the slave trade, not such a glamorous way to go - or to play well enough to earn himself enough money to buy his hind free; this being a mere dream for many...
Evolving
If a lineman gets the right improvement/skill he may be switched into a positional player (Dodge--> Catcher; Pass--> Thrower or +Movement--> Blitzer). This means the lineman has to be retired and a new positional player bought immediately.
Team Performance
The better the squad plays, the better they will perform. Each stat is counted by adding the players' own characteristics and skills together then divided by amount of players currently in the team. The total team performance is counted by adding all the stats together (Strength, Stamina, IQ, etc.), then divide this by two and then divide this by amount of players currently in the team. |
