Organized from an underground cavernous trench, the Abyssal Syndicate hope to become a fearsome force in the Northern Wastes League. In their first season, the 20th season of the NWL, Abyssal Syndicate came in fifth place out of 10 teams (after forfeits and tiebreakers were added in/calculated.) Tied in record with the third place team but lacking strength in the tiebreakers has left the team hungry for greater achievement. With the few losses they suffered during the year, they were in good position to be a contender in any division in the 21rst season of the NWL. Disaster struck in the following NWL season, with the deaths of Glazzach the troll and Mazzik the blitzer, and the near death of Tzerrich. The misfortunes early in the season drained the large war chest of gold the team had amassed in the previous season. Combined with poor blocking and ball handling, the massive casualties they suffered, Abyssal Syndicate barely managed (with a lot of luck) to avoid last place in the divison. |
