Background

The ancient Elven city of Whitevale is home to all manner of slender ball-players; from the proud, yet impoverished catchers of Oldbrick to the sneaky assassins of the Shadow Town, and beyond the city walls to the Freeforest where Wardancers dwell among the Treemen.

The Elves of the Boldpeak district are amongst the wealthiest, and some would say arrogant, in all the city. From their ancestral home in the Jagged Palace, built atop the tallest hill within the city's walls, a network of political marriages have connected the once tiny Boldpeak family to countless other foreign noble High Elf houses, and brought all manner of soldiers, diplomats, builders, and even Bloodbowl players to the city. And as the family grew, so did their influence; the Jagged Palace now stands not at the centre of the family's estate, but the centre of the very borough that houses this most historic of clans. Not everyone who lives and works in Boldpeak is related by blood, but it is a common jibe poked at the Boldpeak Elves that every relationship is incestuous, every promotion by nepotism.

But the Boldpeak Elves take these criticisms in stride, and seek to repay those who accuse them with the most severe form of revenge one can inflict without the use of a thumbtack callously placed on an unsuspecting other's seat: Bloodbowl! While dismissed as pompous and airy, the Boldpeak Breakers pride themselves on their toughness and gritiness on the Line of Scrimmage, their fondness for inflicting injuries, and their place at the head of the all-time kills table in the Whitevale Premier League. They are also the first team to retain the Vale Cup, winning it annually for an unprecidented three-year stretch, from the eighth to the tenth editions.

Especially motivated against fellow Elf sides, the Breakers have marched boldly out of their home city to do battle with and gain glory from teams from all races, and across the Old World.

After 10 games - 5/2/3 - scored 13 TD to 11 - scored 12 Casualties to 27

The first ten games of the Breakers' career outside of Whitevale have been a resounding success, with five victories, an average of over a touchdown a game, and only two deaths thus far. Thrower Lilin Trueshot has continued her family's historical position at the helm of the team, and the catcher pairing of Nialla Hearthfire and Aaera Bluebow have combined for eight of the team's 13 scores. Specialists such as kicker Olinia Coldstride and line-breaking blitzer Beynard Oldfist have brought variety to what began life as a fairly versatile and unspecialised squad.

Star players:
1) Lilin Trueshot (thrower): 10 games; 22 completions for 58 yards; 1 MVP; 29 SPP
14) Aeara Bluebow (catcher): 10 games; 56 rush yards, 4 TDs; 1 MVP; 20 SPP
12) Aerchie Blackring (lineman): 9 games; 13 rush yards, 1 TD; 3 casualties; 1 MVP; 15 SPP

Former players:
13) Nialla Hearthfang (catcher): 5 games; 28 rush yards; 4 TDs; 1 MVP; 17 SPP; Dead

After 20 games - 7/2/11 - scored 18 TD to 27 - scored 17 casualties to 54

The Breakers struggled through their second ten games, racking up a huge number of casualties and losing eight of their contests. While the development of Lilin Trueshot and Aeara Bluebow as a potent thrower-catcher combination has been a source of optimism around the team, the squad lost foiur players, including kicker Olinia Coldstride and captain Beynard Oldfist. The team joined the ELF league in time for their seventeenth game, but have compiled an 0-4 record in the league in their first four games, scoring just once.

Star players:
14) Aeara Bluebow (catcher): 20 games; 83 rush yards, 6 TDs; 5 MVPs; 48 SPP
1) Lilin Trueshot (thrower): 19 games, 37 completions for 72 yards; 1 MVP; 46 SPP
12) Aerchie Blackring (lineman): 17 games, 13 rush yards, 1 TD; 3 casualties; 1 MVP; 15 SPP

Former players:
6) Xiareth Newpass (linewoman): 14 games; 6 rush yards, 1 TD; 2 casualties; 3 MVPs; 22 SPP; Dead
8) Beynard Oldfist (blitzer): 16 games; 16 rush yards, 1 TD; 1 casualty; 2 MVPs; 15 SPP; Dead
7) Olinia Coldstride (linewoman): 12 games; 4 rush yards; 2 casualties; 6 SPP; Dead
5) Geann Shatteroak (lineman): 9 games; 1 completion for 2 yards; 1 SPP; Dead
