Why I love the SWL (and leagues in general)
Like most FUMBBLers I started playing exclusively in [R]anked. I played quite a few games until I started feeling bored with it. As good as [R] is, there are a few things that get tedious after enough games. The biggest is that it starts to feel meaningless after a while. There's no end goal besides building up your team. You can build up your CR, but most people (myself included) don't put much stock into CR, and even less into the Championship.

Luckily I found the glory that is [L]. I started off playing leagues with funny rules, like 5 vs 5, just to play quicker games. I played in quite a few leagues, enjoying them all but never finding one that really held my interest for more than a season or two. That's when I found a league that fit what I was looking for, the SWL.

The SWL has everything I would want in a league. The rules are clear and ensure that there's a fun balance of teams to play against. The coaches are dedicated and enthusiastic, most teams have a lot of fluff and quite a few write game reports. Every season I've played has been exciting and memorable, even the seasons where I lost.

I still play [R]anked when I'm bored and feel like a game, but it's no longer something I focus on. Now and into the future my focus is solely on [L]eagues.
