So, six games to open up the EEL Season II then. Let's have a look:
v
Grimway Monoliths v Darkmoor Black Angelics
The Grimway Monoliths started catastrophically last season, but rebounded to qualify for the playoffs. They welcome newcomer Necros Darkmoor led by Wenzel Kursh. Will the leader reroll help the Monoliths? Will claw come into play for the Black Angelics?
v
Tor Alessi Kestrels v Barren Hills Bashers
The Kestrels are a strong team. They were worthy winners of the Eel Pasty Division last season and looked odds-on to win the Grand Final before an outstanding comeback from the Knights. Putting that behind them, Tor Alessi will hope to open the season with a win against the Barren Hills Bashers. The Bashers took home the wooden spoon last season, including a 2-1 defeat to the Kestrels, but they managed to get a win on the board in the Charity Bowl. Three skilled Chaos Warriors might ensure the Bashers start turning their 1/0/3 record around this season. Will they start here?
v
Drunken Knights of Karak Norn v Athel Loren Warhawk
The Drunken Knights swept aside the Craghammers in their only preseason game, murdering a Block ulfy in the process. They will look here to establish themselves against an extremely strong WElf outfit in the form of the Athel Loren Warhawk. The Warhawk are 11-5 in tds and decimated their divisional opponents last season. Will their new treeman signing have an impact? Will the Drunken Knights continue their murderous ways?
v
Nordland Craghammers v Stirland Reapers
This new Necro outfit will be 'welcomed' to the EEL with a game against one of the league's weakest teams. The Craghammers had a completely forgettable first season, which means they have everything to prove in this first match. With six lots of frenzy, how big a part will that skill play in this matchup?
v
Black Fortress Doomguard v Lustria Jungle Creeper
New EEL outfit Jungle Creeper will look to make an impact early after a promising preseason. They secured 2/5/0 casulties in just two games, with their monster Krox Yokilokki bashing his way to a first skill. The Doomguard share the same casulty differential and will also be looking to make their presence known. They will be hoping eager fans refrain from throwing rocks (and killing) their Black Orc Blockers, I suspect.
v
Karak Grom Hammers v Bretonnia Knights
The reigning EEL champions head out against this untested Dwarf outfit with an enviable 4/0/1 record. They lost their star Blitzer in the Grand Final, but have plenty of bash to bring to a game against this stunty squad.
