My First Major Game: WO
So I figured having played my first game in a major should be a worthy first blog post. My Prodents managed a win from the young Slurmers, one of the teams with the lowest TV to enter the Warpstone Open tournament, if not the lowest (I forgot).
I played mediocre but had some lucky 1D blocks in the first half, Davicius had an unfair amount of lousy block results, especially with a lack of tackle and even his merc Beast of Nurgle wasn't enough to contain the Prodents' Gutter Runners.
So, let's see what happens in round two and hope for another tackleless team and that I stop making dumb mistakes (seriously, I need to stop relying on luck so much).
Edit: Next up: SpacemanJames' Death Squad From Outer Space. TV 2170 will give me 370k inducement money. His Chaos Pact team looks crazy! 2 CPOMB'ers, 3 +ST, 2 Dirty Players and even a Tentacle/Prehensile Tail Marauder to boot. This might sting a little.... :o

yes, and I'm definately not underestimating them. I'm not a good coach and his team is much more developed than mine.
Chainsaw's suggestion for inducements sounds good except there's no 120k star, only Fezglitch at 100k. Not sure if Fezglitch is the way to go and I haven't used a B&C player half decently ever (not sure if it's me or the B&C).
Wizard seems a solid choice (as far as wizards go). Babes are even better.
Against other teams I might gave gone with Headsplitter (no WA yay) but against 3 Big Guys that doesn't seem like a good idea.

Your opp's team isn't built to win, just hurt things.
That isn't saying it can't win, just that it's not designed to as a primary option. Play to win and you probably will. Get dragged into a blocking war and I don't like your odds so much.

that's probably it, wizard, babes and extra apo. I don't think I don't think I've had an extra apo before but I'm looking forward to having TWO players apo-ripped. :D
@liquidorange: I hope Watchmen Philosophy get knocked out if I manage to get that far. By then my team surely will be back at TV1000 and I wouldn't know what to do with 1200k of inducements. ;)
