i would go ma on him although dt goes well with st 4 standfirm. ma 5 is probally more useful with guard. only other skill I would look is jump up because when a golem is down it can put him out of action for a couple of turns

I am a big fan of side step especially with a guard player.
Though Side Step and Stand Firm overlaps pretty badly ?
I would pick that random Diving Tackle. It's good to have that "toolbox" of skills.

Well, not much consensus, as I would certainly go for dodge. I find that a bldge/SF roadblock can really tie up some players, and he'll also live longer than with SS.

DT no doubt for me

Dodge

+MA isn't worth the TV on a FG.
DT is a solid choice, so is dodge. Having both is best. ;D
Posted by PigStar-69 on 2013-09-23 10:23:58
ma is same tv as dt noob :-)
Posted by PigStar-69 on 2013-09-23 10:25:20
also dodge is just for not being knocked down on fg seems a waste. dt makes a ma 4 player prone so it kinda limits its next turn
Posted by The_Provocateur on 2013-09-23 10:33:21
Dodge, cause standfirm, blodge, guard and strength 4 is awesome.
Posted by ThePeoplesChamp on 2013-09-23 10:34:04
dodge or dt depending on your play style, nothing else worth considering, ma is a waste.

The correct decision is leap!

Nobody for MB?

Not on a double! ;) Dodge and hope he skills up again for MB. :)

So dodge or DT then...
next oppo is 3 Tackle Khemri or CD.
If (next oppo == CD)
then DT
else
then Dodge
end if
All aboard?

Sounds like a plan

If the CD doesn't have claw I'd be taking +AV for sure, and would take it unless he has lots of claw. Neither of those teams are likely to try and dodge him even if you don't have DT.

Yeah, I'm with Smallman here...+AV can be a great skill. Only 25% of your games in the Box are against clawed teams,
The problem with Diving Tackle is that it's a lot better against weaker coaches; who also happen to be the ones that a coach such as yourself doesn't need assistance with. A good coach will just tie him up and leave him..or blitz him down if he's actually doing anything annoying with the DT. Sure, there are times and places where you can't afford to do either, but in the majority of games, DT is a spam skill, not a one off skill.
On the other hand, I quite frequently see FG's attached to larger big guys (like Mummies), and they get put down a lot. Even with AV9, there's a lot of stuns/KOs floating around, so +AV fits well with the survivability role.

Dodge (I mirror Cloggy's sentiments)
