Snipers succumb 2-1 to goblin onslaught
http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=2595286

The Die Hard Snipers, full of confidence after their debut win against an experienced Chaos team, almost didn't want to play versus a "puny" Goblin team; fearing they'd be perceived as "cherry pickers". Even Coach Brewin seemed reluctant; "Well they are only goblins, but practice is practice" he was heard to say.

The Die Hard Snipers turned up for the game, making jokes about who would crush the most goblins... Coach Brewin saw with surprise that the sneaky gobbos had recruited the services of Ripper the feared troll and Nobbla Blackwart with his infamous chainsaw... And still he shrugged off the idea that there was any real danger. "It's only goblins, with a few bigger goblins amongst them" he assured his team.

A short time later, Brewin's rat boys were learning to respect goblins the hard way: Nobbla Blackwart ran amok with his chainsaw, carving a path through the stunned rats, meanwhile Ripper and the two other trolls caused great damage and any rats left were fouled into oblivion... By half time, the Snipers had 6 players to the Sneaky Snots 11. Despite this Coach Brewin managed to end the half with scores level at 1-1 and held the Snots scoreless until turn 6 in the second half before finally succumbing to the gobbo onslaught to go 2-1 down. Valiant efforts almost delivered the Snipers a late equaliser, but it seemed Nuffle was not on Brewin's side this day...

Coach Brewin was unavailable for comment post-match: apparently the disgrace of losing to goblins was just too great for him!

His opponent coach Chu had this to say about the match:
"Well, really awesome game. Nobbla ripped through the opposing rooster in the first half. Second half was more exciting than I thought playing 11 against 6, but a lot of dodging by the rats really showed me. Also, Nobbla had run out of fuel and needed 5 turns to turn the chainsaw on, with three rerolls. But then the sneaky gobbos ran away.
Good luck to the snipers."

"Goblin onslaught" is an oxymoron. (No, I'm not insulting anyone)
