Black List Entry
I recently played a game against someone and at the end of the game I instantly blacklisted them. Why did I do this? Well, I show up to the game understrengthed, he has his full roster. I start with the ball and in due course it's taken away from me. Now, this person has a chance to score but elects to stall. I get one chance at a two die against blitz and it works. Then, I go the length of the field in the next turn and score. TD. Half is essentially over.

I line up, due to attrition I only have 7 on the pitch and that is quickly reduced to 6 after the opening blocks. My opponent takes his own time, setting up blocks and leaves his ball carrier deep, not suspecting that I would dodge into a zone and go for it for a one die blitz. Well... it worked. He had to scramble to keep the ball covered but eventually he starts his drive again.

Once again, he gets the ball deep. Not sure if he was intending to stall this time or not but it doesn't matter because I get the ball away from him again. My blitzer picks up the ball but is exposed. Poor blocking choice results in him going untouched and booking down the field. If not for a failed dodge in the second to last turn of the game. He would have scored.

So my opponent, who could have very easily been up on my team 2-0 for the win proclaims "You never rolled a one!" I'd failed several dodges and go for its by this point... At the end he declares "Lame game!".

If you're that type of player I don't want to play you. Period. You had the keys to the car to drive home for a win and you piddled around instead. Stalling can be a good tactic but when you apply it in the wrong situation, like many tactics, you'll get burned. So don't whine about the game being "lame" because you had been enjoying yourself while you were smacking my undermanned team around. That game was seriously a case of a player losing the game for himself and his opponent maximizing opportunity.
