As
pubstar observed, (almost) everyone has one; one rule to rule you, and in the froth-mouth bind you. For me, it's got to be the aging niggle. Like other truly irritating rules, it is protected first, by being implemented, and thus unavoidable, and second, by having unimpeachably good reasoning behind it.
Clearly, the rule is there to put a natural check on teams made up solely of monster players. To be sure, if a million dice are thrown on a million FUMMBL teams (and they may already have been) there'll be some that roll down the happy side of the probability curve - but, in general, it provides a reasonable check to the beasts. Where it hurts, of course, is when a perfectly innocent, fresh-faced linesman with a whole career ahead of him makes his first skill... and niggles. (Or when you get 2 niggles in one fell swoop, as has happened to me before)
When a team is already suffering, it hurts even more. So what to do with the
Mutilators - lineman 12 is the poor sod with premature senility. Standard advice would be to ruthlessly fire him, and carry on playing 9 man recovery games. Doing so would also reduce the TR to 150 and give desperately needed money. But still. Dark elves need the bodies; they're not usually 3 elf TD merchants the way wood elves can be. Anyone got any comments?
