Ah man, good work! It's making me want to paint again. I recently bought the 'Dark Vengeance' 40K box set for me to paint the chaos stuff. The models are lovely although I much prefer playing WFB.
Thanks for the inspiration. My models are no where near as good but perhaps with the right light and...ah, never mind :)

don't speak like that, just give it a go :)
get any of your old stuff out the cupboard and get cracking, I will help if you need tips, though I'm not that good, no where near Spubbbba's standard for example. The key really is patience, a good colour scheme and thinning your paints down with water. It took me probably about 16 hours all totalled up to paint just those two guys. But I am determined to finish an army. I have an ogre army that is nearing 2000pts that I am proud of, but I haven't finished anything else for about 4 or 5 years now.

Cheers Garion. I am chipping away. I started painting the Space Hulk models from the release to get back into it. I'll pm you with my progress on the chaos stuff if you don't mind at some point to get some tips?

I've found myself in the mood for painting recently, then I remember that its been so long that I'd have to go out and buy all new paints. The feeling passes when I look at the price of paints :-)

GW paints are pricey. But there are plenty of alternatives. Reaper, P3, Vallejo, Army Painter and Mig Jimenez all do ranges of paints, which you can usually find cheaper (bear in mind that most of them come in larger bottles than GWs, so even if they seem to cost slightly more, it works out at less for the same amount). And if you like old GW paints, Cote d'Arms were the people who manufactured for them, and they still sell a lot of the same paints, although mostly with different names.

I thought that we weren't allowed to post pics of Grandma's products?
Posted by Garion on 2014-05-16 11:56:29
we can, the site just cannot host them, and the pictures have to be painted by you, and you have to state they are. That way we are all covered :)
