I never buy throwers for any elf team, and I like to think that my record with elves is reasonable! (In context, I won a major and XFL with dark elves.)

Why not take advantage of throwers?

Throwers tend to become passing monsters, hogging spps and gaining lots of passing skills which are not really that useful. There is no need to hide all the way back in your own endzone before unleashing a 2+ long bomb with safe throw. That is just poor play and a typical sign of elfballing. Thinking about it, 76 spps of thrower cost you 15 TR for skills that will be used rarely int he game and can be avoided by playing well.

I would much rather share the passing spps around and use a blitzer with blodge, SS, SH as a ball carrier before handing off to whomever I want to score.
