I just have to tell someone about this. Me and my wife decided to go on a small ship in a local lake. It was something we Swedes call "Räkfrossa", which translate into Gluttony of Schrimp or something like that, so we ate a lot of schrimp, drank some beer and ate some cheese. My wife wanted to bring a friend from her work, and her boyfriend. I was amazed by him, and not in a good way. The small cruise was for 4 hours, and even though there was a discussion about our hometowns, he never mentioned his. I tried to speak with him even though I found him dull and borish, since my wife seems to like to hang out with his girlfriend, but nothing. He only answered monosyllabic to every question I had and he never took any initiative in the conversation. Here is a pretty accurate of our conversions:
me:_I heard that you got a new job.
him:_Yes.
me:_Do you like it?
him:_I don't know.
me:_So you're a teacher. What do you teach?
him:_Math and English.
me:_I am terrible at math, but actually studied english for 1 year at the same univerity as you. What did you think about the teachers?
him:_They where all fine.
me:_I didn't like XX, you know who had the courses in Shakespeare. She was too uptight and stuffy. I tried to interpret some of MacBeth on my own and she failed me, then I retook the test, without studying anymore and as long as I did exactly as her I got good grades.
him:_I liked her.
me:_I really liked the other litterature professor though, she was a bit odd, but I liked her.
him:_I didn't like her.
..............arghhhhhhhh.
It was worse than speaking to my friend Johannes who have mild autism.
