Hmm getting angst of what to play in Blackbox :(
So lets do a rant/review.
Will try and keep team numbers to a minimum so that I can build the ones that I have and play tournies with them. I don't think the stunty or the uw can manage very good above a certain tv.
I want to win games but not power game..so no dorfs or orcs. I am sick of playing with humans and skaven so not them. I suck with CD and I just cant play them.
I do like the DE and stab ads such a dimension of fun to them (I know, people hate assassins but to me they are fun). So De might be my elf team.. but I have played them and feel that I have never given HE a proper chance. HE with their thrower that starts with safe throw and the new rules around safe throw make them interresting and different. So maybe HE instead. Besides, HE have become like the ugly step child of the elven teams and needs some love.
Other teams that could be fun. Chaos are always fun but I dont think they will be very unique and special.. and who wants to be another killer basher chaos team in the box :) especially if the old B teams gets grandfathered. Nurgle would be better then and if the nurgle rots gets implemented some fun factors will be added.. So nurgle might become my "basher" team. Chaos pact.. wow fun team but I think it will be one of the more popular choices for the box and the CP is definetly not a winning team in the long run.
Other considerations, UD or Necros.. with reg becoming a lot better compared to the apoc and new rules these have suddenly become quite viable and interresting. Don't know if UD are better or worse than before since but think the old UD rule applies, protect the mummies cus without them you are toast and that has suddenly become a bit harder. Necros are suddenly awesome, just get two doubbles on a wolf and go to town with mb, po j.u . Rinse and repeat. But then again.. smells a bit to much of powergajming and cheese.. especially if you do some tv tweaking and keep them low and below 2000.
So that leaves zons.. NO! I hate playing vs zons and so would not like to force this team upon somebody else either.
Lizzards, YES! Lizzards are fun, not overpowered and creative. I could play them.
Slann, , HMM. Slann are .. weird, expensive. very much like humans but slightly better and worse. Don't think I will play them yet.. the urge still is there.. just slumbering.
Vamps, I do have had an awesome time in the BETA with my vamps and they are very creative. People who still think that they are as bad as they where in lrb4 needs to wake up and have a look around. They are not bad, hard to play yes.. but very, very rewarding and creative. And they get better and better at the higher tv they get. And vamps are probably the hardest player to kill nowdays with st4, blodge, reg and apoc. So a team for the one that like to pixelhugg and build special players (me). Still not a "winning" team and very dependent on luck. But lotsa fun.
Norse, new norse rocks compared to old norse. They are defintely a fun team. And people who say that the Yeti sucks as a bg compared to other bgs needs to play vs dorfs with norse more. Before (lrb4) you where lucky if you could scratch the paint of a dorf team with them.. now you can tear them a new a-hole if you equip the yeti with mb po... same as they can do to your av7 dudes with po, mb :) So norse is definetly a go team for box.

Guess I will play: HE, Lizzards, Vamps, nurgle and norse in the blackbox :)
5 teams shouldn´t be to many and if I make a solemn oath not to create a new team before I get to 50 games with every one, it should keep me occupied for this year.
