With aerofool and legionsrealm having played their final match, all that remains for this round robin is for ravyn and I to play. Both of us will remain the "bottom two" regardless of the outcome, so it's time to throw caution to the wind and play for fun! (...and, y'know, maybe a win. Maybe.)

After a quick snap and a touchback, the rats waste no time in stunning one linelf and KO'ing another on the line of scrimmage. A quick-snap-and-run sends a gutter runner screaming deep into my end of the pitch but is stopped by my lone Wardancer; in fact, said 'dancer Leaps over the stunned rat, lands on the ball, picks it up and runs the other way! His success is shortlived; while the lone Stormvermin is killed(!) by a block from one of my linelves, the 'dancer is POW'd and the ball heads into the crowd. The crowd -- clearly pro-Skaven -- hurls the ball back into my end, where a linerat dashes into the end zone... but trips over the goalline!! My attempts to counter are blunted by a double-down, so rat #2 gives it a go... and trips again!! This time, I grab the ball and hurl it downfield, where waiting linelves hurry the ball in for a touchdown. 1-0!

Ravyn's plans for a counterattack go awry with a double-down that Badly Hurts a linelf. Undaunted, two of my linelves tear into the backfield, grab the downed ball and two-turn it after another double-down. 2-0!

The rest of the first half is some bashy fun that ends when a linelf fails a 2+ dodge while trying to farm a completion. (Moron...)

The second half sees me cage up my 'dancer with linelves after a touchback and a GET THE REF. ("elf cage???" says ravyn, in disbelief.) The ruse works and my 'dancer runs ahead, out in the open, just as my linelf skulls out and KOs himself. Whoops. The 'dancer miraculously survives the defensive onslaught and, one 2+ dodge later, is in the clear for a touchdown. 3-0!

First block by ravyn: BH linelf! His line continue to plug away until the Thrower goes for the ball (kicked into his end zone, by the way)... and flubs the pickup. I rush in to pressure the thrower (not throwing a single block in the process), but the plan backfires and the ball is passed to a waiting Gutter Runner. Away he goes with six (SIX!)linerat escorts, intent on scoring, met with what little resistance I have to offer such a daunting cage. I manage to chainpush but the wall of rats push back, leaving a clear line for the Gutter Runner to score. 3-1!

With time winding down and players dwindling (down to 8), I can see a 4th TD in the distance. I again form the cage with my Catcher at the centre. A hole opens up and the MA9 speedster is off to the races. He survives a blitz (thank you, Dodge!) but is double-downed. No matter -- up he gets and one 2+ dodge/2+ pickup later, we have a touchdown. 4-1!

Problem: ravyn still has his Turn 8 to go! I put three expendable linelves on the line and, true to form, one linelf is KO'd and another is BH by a foul. All that remains is a quick snap for the SPP... which is dropped. Game!
