DLE Season 2.2 Player of the Year Awards

Jim, there is an old ogre saying that if you chain a 1000 gobbos to a 1000 typewriters, you will get a piece of writing to match the great poet Felix Jaeger.

Sadly Bob as our experiment has shown, that's not the case at all, but it is enough to get you, drum roll please.........

The Inaugural DLE Player of the Year awards!

Woooo Jim, I can't wait to see who picks up these awards.

OK Bob, without further ado, lets start dishing out the hardware.

IRON MAN - Most turns on pitch

Tom Rathman (-Hargendorf Unicorns-)

Rathman of the Unicorns takes home this award with 116 turns on the pitch

BOMBER - most completions

Chad Pennington (-Wolfsbach Scimitars-)

Pennington lead the league with 13 completions

AAA - most interceptions

Bish "The Bash" Bosh (-Kemperbad Knights-)

7 players registered an interception, but the award goes to Bosh, because he was the biggest and we are scared of him!

SLAYER - Most cas

Dante Hightower (-Remas Eagles-)

Dante, just beats out the other Hightower of the hated Patriots and takes home the award for a bone crushingly good season with 12 CAS, including two, 3 CAS games.

BLING - most MVP's

Garrett Gilbert (-Akendorf Griffins-)

Takes home the award over Ronnie Lott of the 49's both having received 3 MVP's (Gilbert earning more SPP in season).


TOP SCORER - most TD's

Ronde Barber (CB) #20 (-Averheim River Bandits-)

Ronde top scored in the league with 11 TD's


PASSER - total distance passed

Joe Montana (-San Luis 49ers-)

Montana led the league with a total of 53 yrds


RUSHER - total carry distance

Jace Amaro (-Praag Grizzlies-)

Jace Amaro out ran the league with 178 yrds


BULLY - most blocks

Ronnie Lott (-Hargendorf Unicorns-)

Lott dished out the hits, leading the league with 78 Blocks

DIRTY BOY - most fouls

This seems to be only the 2nd half of the season. Otherwise the patriotic Hightower would have won it.

Yes, very nice work bigf. Kirk feels a little cheated that Chad gets the bomber award as Kirk had 3 more completions in the complete season, but if we're only counting the second half of the season, and it stops Patriots Hightower getting an award, then it's fine with us :-)

@Danish - I am afraid that the migration at halfway meant that when the scripts run, it can tell that the new team is a continuation of the old and treats them as two separate teams with individual players. For season 3 we should be able to utilise full season statistics.

@FRSH - that's the plan, my art skills are somewhat limited by I will have a play around for an award. If anyone can help out in this regard that would be great

@special - see my comment to Danish Dan. Due to migration the scripts treat each player separately as there is a separate team id and player id for the calculations involved.

But rest assured, even without the first half, Van Kassel was far and away the dirtiest DLE'r !
