Good Morning Coaches, Good Morning Bob, I am pleased that we are able to announce the players of the week for round 2.
That's right Jim, Beanchilla Vids have done us proud, so without further ado, lets get into it.
Well Bob our deserving
Slayer of the week is
Dietmar Althoff of the Carraburg Crimson Cascade.
Jim, Althoff had a bonecrunchingly good week as he went Shark Hunting! He killed J.R Sweezy (1)T8, BH'd 2 further players (2) T1&T5 and threw in a KO for good measure in (2)T6. He played a crucial role in CCC's 3-1 win over the Skar Bay Sharks.
Next up is our
Ground player of the week Bob.
Yes Jim, this week
Michael Floyd of the Middenheim Classics takes home the shiny.
Bob, Floyd, rushed for 37 yrds, scored 2 TD's and caused a CAS in a good all round match for the rookie. Plus Bob, due to poor play calling by his coach he also had to survive numerous blitzes on both his TD runs. A worthy winner.
Finally Jim, we have our
Play of the Week (P.O.W!).
This week it goes to
Clinton Portis of the Wolfenburg Wolfskins.
Bob, this was a crazy sequence, it starts t the end of (1) T6, the marauders fail to catch the ball in the rain. It then bounces around for a couple of turns as neither side can keep hold of the ball, then eventually sammy watikins of the marauders burst free for the end zone on (1)T10, looking like he will tie the game and add to his league record TD score.
But the wolfskins' 3 catchers had other ideas Jim, they team up to sack watkins pick up the ball and throw the long pass in the rain to a Portis for the breakaway. Portis is then then sacked (1)T12 but keeps his composure and gets up to score on (1)T13 and perhaps put the game out of reach of the Marauders at that stage.
Great, great play there Bob and a worth winner.
