Friday I got a call from the brother of an ex-girlfriend. She died last monday morning in a smouldering fire that broke out in her apartment. The firefighters managed to get her out of the apartment but all attempts to reanimate her failed. She was my beloved girlfriend of more than 3 years and even though we eventually broke up we stayed in touch and she always had a special place in my heart (and always will).
Just two days before it happened I had planned to visit her but then ended up doing some meaningless shit instead. Now it´s too late. I´ll meet some other people I haven´t seen for a while now because I suddenly realized that you may never get a chance to see them again.
