vaclav didn't cheat
this is in response to things that were said in a SMACK game between vaclav and keggiemckill. keggie accused vaclav of cheating by cutting a hobgoblin right before the match, and reducing keggie's inducements from 160 to 120. it isn't cheating and keggie has no idea what he's talking about, as usual. keggie is just upset because it took a wiz away from him, an option for vaclav that keggie likely didn't consider.

Lol.

This is the thing that used to make LRB4 great. I didn;t think it was even possible in CRP! Hurray!
Posted by licker on 2013-11-04 23:40:40
Don't know the specifics and don't really care.

The higher TV team needs to ready 1st. If you're worried about this, then you have them ready so you can plan your own moves.

Sounds like keggie needed to do this.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-04 23:40:45
it was a tournament game pete.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-04 23:43:28
@licker: keggie was the lower TV team, but based on what happened, i think its safe to assume that keggie readied first. although i really don't know.
Posted by vaclav on 2013-11-04 23:56:12
I wil say... First big LOL

Most funny match i ever had thanks to keggie.

Keggie made a team first( i didnt force him to do that and before i even played the first match), then i left it unready without any particilar reason, since he already made a team R. so please,if some admin can explain to me how its cheating:)

Quoting licker, "The higher TV team needs to ready 1st."

Is that the actual rule? (I did not know this if it is.)
Posted by easilyamused on 2013-11-05 00:13:11
Yeah, from the tourney rules page

"In the event of teams scheduled to play in any Tournament both having post game sequences uncompleted, the team with the larger TV is expected to complete their sequence first."
Posted by fidius on 2013-11-05 00:15:23
It may not be cheating here, but in the TT world it's a capital offense. The rules aren't explicit to my knowledge, but it's well-understood that roster changes are POST-game actions, while treasury and inducements are PRE-game actions. Proper practice in TT is to "ready" your team blindly after a match (ie without scouting your next opponent), including roster changes and skill picks. When the rules talk about the higher TV team "readying" first, I believe it is talking about gold transfer into treasury, which the Fumbbl client handles automatically anyway.

But like I said, it's different here, thus it's best to be on your toes.

Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 00:28:33
he did ready his team right before the match.

face it keggie, you screwed yourself. now you can either be mad at yourself and learn a lesson so that it doesn't happen again. or you can keep riding that BS high horse and thinking you're right and you'll probably get screwed again. i think it's best that you just accept that tournaments aren't for you.

post match sequence on fumbbl and TT will work differently for obvious reasons. if you need that pointed out to you then you're not that bright.

Posted by Qaz on 2013-11-05 00:35:21
Keggi could have kept his team unready and asked Vaclav to ready his team first as they had the higher TV then looked at the team and decided what to do. This follows the Fumbbl rules. But as far as I can read Keggi readied his team and in doing so prevents him self from making changes. That however does not prohibit Vaclav from making any changes to his team before readying them.

And No Admins wont unready your team for you just because you had lover TV. I already asked ;)
Posted by fidius on 2013-11-05 00:36:11
I disagree that it has to be different here. It just is, because people are competitive, anonymous, and unaccountable. Personally, I will never be a guy who plays the post-match readying game, because in my mind the rules are clear and I'd rather stick to them. I realize that makes me a sucker on Fumbbl, but fair enough -- my choice. Doesn't make me or keggie or anyone else an idiot though, liz.
Posted by licker on 2013-11-05 00:45:21
The few times I have been 'concerned' about this in L games I have simply asked my upcoming opponent to ready their team as I need to know what to hire/fire.

There's no real expectation that any unreadied team is fixed, so if it matters, you need to ask. Hell you can even ask as the higher TV team. Asking doesn't kill puppies.

Now if you lie, or demand, or basically act like lizvis then you do kill puppies.

If all else fails you appeal to the admin in charge of the tourny/league.
Posted by Sammler_der_Seelen on 2013-11-05 00:47:22
Lrb4 sneak hire the count!!
Posted by vaclav on 2013-11-05 00:52:09
#fidius# I think you are missing the point, you are fighting with wind mills. There is nothing close to cheating or immorality in preparing team for match. Both teams can do it, and the team with lesser tv is in advantige on that matter by the rules. I cant see anything contraversial on this subject..
Posted by vaclav on 2013-11-05 00:55:43
Keggie made ready his team before he knew he would play me, and he even had more then enough money to buy wiazrd if he wanted one.
Posted by keggiemckill on 2013-11-05 00:56:57
I asked him to post his team so we could play. He changed the team. He first looked at my team then changed it. Page 29 of the rule book. Post-Match Sequence. Section 2. Update team roster. Subsection 5. Just because someone think Fumbbl created BB doesnt mean its true.

Lizvis is the Ripper of Trolls on here. We all know this. Valclav and I are fine with each other. He said he didnt know the rules. We joked about it. No feelings hurt here.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 00:57:46
i agree with vaclav's last post. things have to be different on fumbbl so that everyone can have peace of mind that they are on a level playing field with everyone else. and ofc this incident doesn't MAKE keggie an idiot. he was an idiot long before this incident.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:00:32
ummmmmm, vaclav's posts seem to dispute what you're saying keggie. vaclav seems to be saying that he didn't break any site rules (which he didn't) and is defending his actions.

if keggie readied before he even knew vaclav was his opponent, then face it keggie, you screwed yourself, period.
Posted by keggiemckill on 2013-11-05 01:04:12
changing your team the way he did was pregame, and not post game. Its apparently acceptable here. Fine I can move on. No biggy. Lizvis is still a Troll and a waste of human. We dont like each other and he named and then tried to shame it. Im fine with everything about that. You know the old saying, you cant get mad at a retard (lizvis) for being a retard (lizvis.) Just move on and buy him smarties so he wont talk to you.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:05:12
also keggie, this type of stuff goes on ALL THE DAMN TIME in tournaments. like i said earlier, face it, tournaments just aren't for you. you just don't have what it takes, on multiple levels.
Posted by licker on 2013-11-05 01:06:39
Again, I don't know the details, and I don't care about the details.

The way the site handles it, which is the only thing that matters, is to have the higher TV team ready first. Meaning? Don't ready your team until you know your opponent (if this matters to you, it doesn't matter to some).

Once you know your opponent, the higher TV team needs to ready first. Of course there are situations where the higher TV team can cut TV to become the lower TV team, in which case the now new higher TV team can cut TV to become the original lower TV team again, and so on until both teams reach 0 TV. At that point I think both coaches simply implode in a spasm of utter retardedness though.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:06:40
lol, careful about throwing around insults about other people's intelligence derppie. because whatever i am, you are beneath me.
Posted by keggiemckill on 2013-11-05 01:12:59
Intelligent people dont Troll around and deliberately demoralize people for fun. The only thing beneath you is smallman.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:15:38
constantly taking the high ground doesn't mean you're right.
Posted by Chainsaw on 2013-11-05 01:20:26
Keggie, you're wrong on this issue.

I'm the last person who wants to agree with lizvis, but you are getting your knickers in a twist over an issue where you slapped yourself in the face then wonder why it hurts.

You can cite paragraph 7 word 5 character 2 until you are, in the face, blue... but you'll still be wrong. The site works as it does. You wait for your opponent to get ready if you are lower TV. Hell, even IF vaclav readied his team in the "post match sequence" then he still could have cut a hobgoblin anyway. He already knew your TV! Or are you going to ban knowing your opponents rosters?

SSSSSTTOPPPPP MAKING YOURSELF LOOK LIKE A FOOL!
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:22:45
thats impossible because he doesn't have the intelligence needed to realize that he's making a fool of himself.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:26:10
and i think you miss the point keggie (as usual)..... i'm not demoralizing you for fun. i call things as i see them, and simply put, you're not that bright.
Posted by keggiemckill on 2013-11-05 01:40:35
Don't single me out. You demoralize everyone you come into contact with. Seeing the way you do is not something to be proud of. Calling out is just a time waster for all of us.

Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 01:54:20
yes, everyone on the site hates me because you hate me keggie. do you even realize how simple you sound now?
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 02:00:21
@fredastaire: that is a subject for another blog, or perhaps a forum thread.

And it went Whoooosh! over your head
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 02:05:46
it absolutely did not. after reading, i really wished someone would do a blog or thread about that. i've already exceeded my drama quota for the day, the admins are already watching me, so i can't start anything new for awhile. :(
Posted by fidius on 2013-11-05 02:08:50
#vaclav# I don't believe you did anything wrong in a Fumbbl context because it's tolerated here, probably for practical purposes more than anything. But if you did the same thing in a TT tourney, say in preparation for a playoff match after a 10-game season, you'd probably be given a warning. The rule *is* implicit in CRP, and in TT environments it is part of good sportsmanship.

In my early days (2 yrs ago) I ninja-fired a Cheerleader in advance of a league match, in order to deny my opponent a Babe (I know, why bother... but I was young, hehe). It did not start the match on the right foot, put it that way...
Posted by awambawamb on 2013-11-05 02:57:02
took note of this. at last it could be useful if I'll ever make it past selections in tourneys! (tough I've earned some titles in indie tournaments)

I never listen to lizvis anyway, because says that pasta and olive oil makes you fat.
Posted by SunDevil on 2013-11-05 04:23:59
Cutting the Hob as the overdog to avoid the wizard is BUSH LEAGUE.
Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 05:09:11
it's keggie's fault that vaclav had an opportunity to cut anything to avoid the wiz.

and i only said that olive oil and pasta make you in particular fat awambawamb, it wasn't a general statement.

What's really bush league is not reading the site rules so you understand how tournaments work here & blaming anyone but yourself. Which is all that matters because, & brace yourselves,....THIS ISN'T TABLE TOP. This be FUMBBL. We got pixels & such. Yarrrrr!

how come you are so mad then? o.O
Posted by Badoek on 2013-11-05 07:25:43
there's some naming and shaming going on here :o
and some pots and kettles getting it on.

This blog AND some of its replies don't make Fumbbl a happier/friendlier/funnier place (on the contrary) so I'll rate it a 2.

Posted by lizvis on 2013-11-05 08:00:14
if keggie would have just said he didn't like what vaclav did, that would have been one thing. but he repeatedly claimed that vaclav cheated, and that had to be set straight imo.
