If you don't know, i'm 34 had a stroke a month ago and have been diagnosed with a neurovascular disease which has left me with brain damage.
I got lucky, i only got a weakness after my stroke and that has now disappeared. I'm currently building my strength back up (a bit like the Hellfishes) and am currently on a lifestyle change, no excess alcohol, no takeaways, healthy eating, exercise and a salt reduced diet.
1 month after my stroke, i have lost 2 stones in weight, my blood pressure has went down to 150 over 90, i have low cholesteral and the doctor has given me permission to drive.
I CAN DRIVE!!!!! My freedom has returned.
Still, i'm off work for another 2 months or at least until the waves of tiredness that i get go away.
This has probably been the worst month of my life and now i can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
My 2 year old daughter described me best, she says "Daddy is sick in the head"
My life continues, luckily.
