BB Trends
I don't play very much these days (school), but I spectate way too many games as I pretend to study. I noticed some trends recently:

1. Lizardmen. There's always a flavour of the month team, and it looks like now it's the Lizards. Great fun for me, since games with Lizards are often fun games to watch. I'm not sure why Lizards are popular now, but maybe it's due to recent success in Majors.

2. Extreme stalling. Stalling has always been popular (and rightly so) but recently I've seen quite a few coaches stall needlessly when the ball carrier was within an easy blitz. Twice today I've seen certain scores lost, one cost someone a chance at a nice upset in a tournament game.

I wonder why this is happening. Are some coaches trying to get too fancy?

3. Tactical Fouling. It seems like more coaches are going with the 'throw 1 or 2 fouls on key players' rather than the 'foul anything that's prone' approach. Maybe this is related to 2, and is a sign of better players (maybe the bad ones migrated to Cyanide).

I like to think that I contributed a little to #1, even if it is just a little :)

Lizardmen are indeed fun, but i think we'll see an ogre team win a major before we see a lizardman team do it. Why? Fireball vs AG1 players.

not only AG1 players, but the other players are just AG3 - and have AV7 stunty!

1) yeah they're cool

2)sometimes people get greedy when stalling

3)LRB4(fumbbl) promotes tactical fouling because of the eye wheren LRB5 (Cyanide) does not. Yes this could have caused the foul frenziers to move across not sure if I have seen this to be true

1. They are tough to get off the ground, but once the sauruses are skilled up a bit, they are much fun.

2. Great coaches can make some pretty clever stalls to take up a whole half. Poor coaches think they have to stall a whole half like the big kids can, and screw it up. When in doubt, take the points and play some D.

3. If you're watching more lizard games, you're probably seeing more tactical fouling, since skinks are relatively useful, and can't be wasted on silly fouls like a thrall/skeleton/linerat can.

I stall for the challenge... it doesn't matter if it's better to score :p
