Opponent is a ****
Theres been a barrelfull of hate recently on FUMBLL (admitedly mostly against Spiro/ ClawPoMb) so i thought i'd quickly provide a little contast in terms of comunity/ gaming experience.

In the last 48 hours on World Of Warcraft (purely from my own experience):

A) I have seen no less than 7 battlegrounds (player vrs player) lost because the faction i belong to decided it would be more fun to spend the entire battle argueing about who was the biggest "noob f***t**d" and was costing the whole side the battle instead of actually moving or fighting the opponents...

B) The guild my current main character (who i was only a day or two from becoming exhalted reputation with and getting an awsome scorpion mount) closing as a result of the most juvenile "no u" arguement ive ever seen costing me months of hard work (yes i class clicking on a target as hard work!!!).

And C) A simple raid vrs the enemy faction falling apart while two member argued who was the biggest virgin (my money was on the "both" option).

Add to this the litterally countless "google it you f*****g noob" responses to simple questions in "main" chat i've seen and it all amounted to remind me that Fumbll literally is the friendliest place i've ever spent time on the net. Dont even get me started on the Cyanide BB comunity (who , unbenoungst [speling?] to them, i have spent some time amoungst recently) and i'm now convinced Fumbbl really is one of the freindliest places online.

I Should play here more often.

You should play here more often!

Rated 6 for vitriol.

and me!!!

The worst mistake I ever made was buying a mic for my Xbox. I purely wanted it, to say 2 things "If you steal anymore zombies from my window, I'm cancelling the game as I'm the host" and " I'm on your inside, keep over a little bit and we'll both finish in the money."

Now I dread going online as my posse of 14 year old xbox buddies try to hook up for some 'party chat'.

I've got to the point where I flick the box on, check who's online and then quickly turn it off again. I'm really wasting my gold membership fee.

i'll add that to the list of reasons to not play WoW, thx paul :D

rated a 6 despite the mention of WoW

You are correct, Paul.
This place is lovely, and even the bitter elements at least either have character or are public laughing stock for those who do.
Being 30 instead of 15 must help a lot, there. (no offense intended to mature teenagers!)

I'm pretty sure it should be unbeknownst :)

i played wow pretty extensively (sometimes 10-12 hours per day) for 2 years, and in the end i quit simply becuase everyday pretty much everyone made me want to smash my head against a hard blunt object repeatedly. its not a good place.

FUMBBL probably comes in second to FICS (free internet chess server) for me. It's populated heavily by doctors, engineers, mathematicians, PhDs, etc. Hardcore chess geeks are fairly polite, possibly due to having good study habits and few glaring RL deficiencies they are trying to make up for (e.g. being a 25-year-old unemployed virgin living with their parents and playing WoW or CoD all day).

FUMBBL is more fun though :D

unbeknownst, just FYI. Lovely post!

Nice post.

Not enough to encourage me to log in to #fumbbl though. ;)

Hope we see more of you here again.
One day I shall try another game maybe perhaps.

Wow, bah. Played it for a long time. In the early days it was fun, but i totally lost interest when i found out that the only people that were still playing did it to compensate their total lack of "being someone in real life".
Fumbbl is totally different, it has a mainly green background (at least in my scheme) and goblins flying in the air.
Still, you should play here more often.

I'm reserving my 6 rating until we see you playing here more often again. Forgot WoW, come back home Paul.
