“I agree that this was a game decided by luck--and just as a fun note I predicted the double skulls :-p.
My thief and j-walker seem to have picked up some dirty tricks during their time in prison, while my pyromaniac and animal torturer seem to have grown a taste for the limelight--maybe they are so used to running from crowds it's a nice change.
Pirog struck me as a good coach--not the best I have played at managing bad luck (though certainly better than most), but you could tell he was trying to keep his cool and I respect that. Hopefully you will have better luck in later tournaments. It would be interesting to play you with more developed teams--we should set that up some time.”
“Penal League I - round 1
-----------------------------------
The premier of my own tournament is something that I have looked forward to for a long time, but this match turned out to be a huge dissapointment.
I have never felt that I deserved a win more than I did in this match. It was a big joke from start to finish with Kill-Kill landing insane amounts of clean blocks while I came up with nothing but arrows, where every damn scatter made the ball end up in his players hands...even when it fell off the board and was thrown in and landed in the hands of his thrower at the exact centre point of the pitch. I played uphill from the first round and was cut down to about 3/5 of my squad after the first few rounds.
Despite this I managed to score the first TD. By different tactics I managed to make those breaks that could have won me a desperate victory. In turn 15 I had a 2d block on his lineman ball carrier with my blitzer and of course it turns up double skulls. In OT I at least get a chance by recieving the kickoff but of course Kill-Kill rolls a blitz.
This was just slow torture and the Dirty Sixteen (or less) should be careful if these teams meet in the future, because the Bashers know how to hold a grudge and they will definately want payback for this most undeserved loss.
Congratulations to the win, Kill-Kill. I'm glad this wasn't the tabletop game because then I might have smacked you in the face for rolling like you did ;)
If you keep this up you are a sure favourite to win the whole thing.
Edit: Hehe, sure thing. And I do admit that I whined when things got silly. But I warn people about that in my bio so they are prepared ;)”
