When he was alive, Long John Silver (LJS) stood only 3 foot 7 inches tall. Yes, that's right he was one of the little people. Again the naming in the realm of the undead serves to be contrasting with the life formerly led.
LJS was a loved by everyone he ever came into contact with. He travelled the world over several times as a member of the stage crew for bands such as KISS, Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy. The bands loved him because he helped to keep the groupies satiated. The phrase big things come in small packages definitely applied.
And it was perhaps this very gift that doomed him to an undead afterlife. While he pleased many others, he was never very pleased with himself. Such was his displeasure that he was not able to rest in peace.
