| Barak Fenrix - last stronghold of the feared Weredorfs, a race of very angry and aggressive dwarfs who were cursed by the Witch Queen Parah Salin, Overlady of the coldest point of the Norselands, last bastion of insanity in the quiet, boring world of dwarfdom. The Dwarf king, Maddorf Ulric, has decreed that all dwarfs must refer to themselves as 'dorfs' just because it sounds funny. While many dorfs protested at this, Maddorf has had jesters with mice tied to sticks follow them around until they gave up or went mad at the incessant squeaking. Maddorf's latest obsession is Blood Bowl, which he wishes to dominate and then rename 'Dorfbowl'. So, a team of dorfs was assembled, mostly by drawing names out of a horned helmet, then renaming the dorfs, and only then informing the dorfs, many of whom were happily married and living quiet, normal lives that they were to become blood bowl players with some of the most ridiculous nicknames ever to grace the game. So, the band of reluctant dorfs was sent off to Altdorf (a city of which Maddorf approved hugely because of the name) to somehow try and win the Blood Bowl. Upon arrival, they discovered the tournament was no longer open to new teams... but there was another tournament just starting... The LOBBA tournament. So, the Deadly Dorfs march at last into the world of Blood Bowl, dressed in their gaudy pink and green uniforms (with orange socks), juggling snotlings and singing 'Honk If You Like Dorfs' at the top of their voices, while scantily clad ogre prostitutes in studded thongs horrify and fascinate their bemused fans. |
