Wondering what race will make you successful in the Box?
I had a quick look at the teams with >75% win rate (min 20 games; # in brackets = re-rolls / team name / race / coach).
86% (3) I like the move it! / Dark Elf / PnitA
81% (4) [B ]ox Rats 2/ Skaven / cmac
78% (5) Rub in the Salt / Khemri / Grouchy
78% (1) Be Bop Doo Wop / Wood Elf / Tathar
77% (5) Awards That Should Exist ! / Lizardmen / MerryZ
76% (5) House of God / Necromantic / Dolls
75% (3) Reign in Blood X / Orc / Buur
75% (3) Skavenblight Decay / Skaven / Flix
75% (4) [B ] Dreaded Dragons / Lizardmen / Canales
This list suggests that as long as you rule as a coach, it doesn't matter that much what you play - and that it doesn't need to be one of the classic "bashy" (aka borderline boring) teams. For some reason two of the teams have the division name [B ] in their names, thus automatically subtracting 100% in Cool.
Three most successful teams over 50 games:
74% (4) Nagronath Cutthroats / Dark Elf / Reisender
70% (5) Vor V Zakone / Chaos Dwarf / Qaz
69% (5) Insect Biters / Orc / stboub
Three most successful teams over 100 games:
64% (1) Curiosetes / Khemri / hermano_p
51% (5) Deathbox / Human / iena
48% (4) Carnage, Inc / Chaos / BillBrasky
However it seems that a bit of armor makes it easier for coaches when making those legendary teams. Massive respect to those coaches. They've understood an important thing about Blood Bowl. It's not about just playing a team and retire them at 30 games, and starting all over - then you're just a good starter, fast out of the blocks. Truly awesomeness radiates from teams with 100 games and a story to go with it. Otherwise you might as well play chess.
Iena's Human team "Deathbox" was the most awesome team I found in this hour searching the stats, especially the blitzer Jack with 105 games (where is the most played games list in the stats section?!). Reisender's Dark Elfs also demands respectfulnes.
Hope you liked this BLOOOGGGHHHH!!!!.
Cheers.
