GLT Applications Open
The Grotty Little Newspaper is proud to present the Grotty Little Tournament: The best FUMBBL teams competing for the coveted Grotty Little Trophy. Tournament draw starts 22.00pm server time Wednesday 20th May 2020 Due to the fact that all teams will be accepted to the GLT as long as they meet their qualifiers restrictions (don't want anyone to miss out) Qualifier sizes will be more variable than in other majors. You can apply to one of the following 4 qualifiers High TV Any Ranked or Blackbox team can apply here to the High TV qualifiers. (2000+TV) Old teams Any Ranked or Blackbox team can apply here to the Old Team qualifiers. (80+ Games) Both High TV and Old teams are welcome to any team that meets the entry criteria. If you meet both either should work as they usually end up with a similar distribution of teams Forlorn Any Ranked or Blackbox team can apply here to the Forlorn Races qualifiers as long as they are one of the races listed below. If you are sending any of the following types of teams it is recommended you send them to this qualifier. Chaos Renegades Goblins Halflings Khemri Norse Slann Underworld Ogres (LRB4) Amazons (LRB4) We are including any teams that have not won a major since LRB4 in the forlorn qualifier now. In addition one qualifier in this group will be made up of only Goblin and Halfling teams. Speciality Qualifiers: Any Ranked or Blackbox team can apply here for any of the following qualifiers 1 High CR qualifier (over 165 CR) 1 Ranked qualifier 1 Black Box qualifier 1 Gauntlet qualifier (open to anyone) All 4 specialty qualifiers are in the same group so the High CR qualifier will be filled first, then Ranked/Blackbox, and finally the Gauntlet. Please have this in mind when applying. Each specialty qualifier will attempt to be as close to the same size as possible Prizes The winner of the GLT will be rewarded with the choice of 2 secret weapons from Ball and Chain (player gets MA3/ST7/No Hands), Chainsaw, Bombs or Pogo stick (player gets Very Long Legs and Leap, no secret weapon). They will carry the secret weapon trait which will follow normal rules. Due to the unique nature of these weapons they can only be given to rookie linemen as they have to train with some Goblins to learn how to use them. If the winner does not have 2 rookie linemen after the final game they can give the weapons to the next rookie linemen they hire. On top of this there will be dynamic gold throughout the finals. Finally the winner will be able to get a set of fumbbl block dice sent to them by Christer if they so desire |

Hello! I am interested. But I am new to fumbbl as of late march so theres a bit on here I'm not clear on. What does this mean? (not being sarcastic, just have no clue)

Does the qualifier mean I play in a tournament before 5-20 to qualify? And if so, where do I go for that? If it doesnt mean this then, I guess I need a little more help in the explanation.
It says its Grotty so I intend to take the worst of my stunty teams, a bunch of goblins. Anyone who doesnt take a goblin to a grotty tournament just doesnt have class.
Should I make a goblin team for blackbox and start levelling it? Or should it be brand new? Does it need to be a particular TV?

a SECOND ROSTERED FANATIC my friend! ball and chain with A access instead of S access, starting with dodge already, with easy access to sprint/sure feet/side step! isn't that AWESOME?
oh, and a second chainsaw. AND BOTH OF THEM KEEP RIGHT STUFF! throw that fanatic, mate, throw it!

I'm not involved in organizing it but I beleve it's just like any other tournament, you apply with any eligible team and then you play in the Qualifier.

The qualifiers start on the 20th. The winners of each one will go on to a main draw after that.
The GLT does have the most confusing qualifier system. If you want to send Goblins I reccomend applying to the forlorn qualifier linked above as there will be a qualifier inside it with just Goblins and Halflings. It can be a team of any TV as long as it comes from Box or Ranked.
