Welcome!
I warn you, Slann are funny, but not very competitive.

That may be it, but they are hopefully(no pun intended ;) ) somewhat more competetive than the goblins!
The goblins are very dangerous, but mostley withing the very own team.....

I'm not saying it's not sometimes a good decision. However I have never ever chosen to kick in my life. And altogether I've probably played 3-4k of games. Just saying...

True, and I understand your Point. The plan at this Point is that I hoped to either force him to score quickly so I could have 4-6 turns to retaliate or, that I would hold him of or even get a TD. And ofcourse just Pound away on the opponent so he couldnt defend with a full team and it wasnt so far away that it did go according to plan.
Cause with this team of brutes and only 2 RR I didnt Think I could score without getting some elfs of the pitch.
I Think I go with kick aprox 50% but it depends on my own team and opponents but I may reconsider it when I have played abit more :)
I dunno how many games I have played, maybe 500? I know it is waaaay more than a few houndreds but I doubut it is as many as 1k but hoping to get a few K going in a few years :)

Choosing to kick depends on your team and style of play. A bashy team might choose to receive, because it's easier to bash the opponent that way.
An agile, fragile team might indeed choose to kick if the coach is sure of his own defence. It's way way easier to defend with 11 men, and if you play an av7 team it's more than likely you won't have them in the second half.
And if you manage to steal and score, it's pretty much game over.
Also it's easier to oneturn at turn 8 than it is at turn 16 (likely more players on the pitch).
Instead it's quite easy to score with such teams even if you have few players left.
So yeah, with some teams it's better to kick first than to receive first. Most depends on your style.

Your name isn't in homage to the old school horror flick of the same name, is it?!?

Haha in a way it is, cause it is taken from a Misfits tune, that I belive is named after that Movie. I just love the song and has played under that name in every game I played online the last 15 years or so.
