The runner? https://www.fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=10955224, what do I do with him? What skill to take next and when will he be to expensive? Maybe I shall get a new recruit soon? You can keep him but if he rolls a normal skill at the next level up I would fire his lame ass. I don't think I would ever take stripball on a runner unless he was my second one with wrestle. Just my playstyle.
The slayer? https://www.fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=10955225, is he too lonely and where to go with him? Juggernaut, tackle, piling on, mightyblow, pro or double jump up? Well first off you really hindered his development by taking stand firm first. On a normal roll MB is the way to go. He is too slow to be a reliable surfer when you only carry 1 slayer, so SF without Guard is not worthless but certainly not the most useful. But yes, on a normal skill roll, take MB! I find their skill path to be MB, Guard, then SF. PO next if they live that long.....they probably won't.
And the in game tactical questions:
In defense: Against elfs I have thought about 7 man on the line 3 on los and 2 on each flank while the runner and blitzers and 1 blocker to secure the ball, or is a better way? NO. You do this, you are in for a heap of trouble. It depends on the ideal defense on what skills they have and what team they are..... https://fumbbl.com/help:Defensive+Setups Go there and check out some of the setups. The very defensive or chevron variants will usually allow you the most use with Dorfs.
Against bash? If the opponent dont have anyone fast/agile I go with 9-10 in the front?
And final question? How to respond to foul apperance? My blocks cant push the smelly, which is major problem as I live (and die) with the blocks. Just a fact of the Nurgz: 1 in 6 blocks fails. Nothing to do about it.
Any other tips and pointers, cause I need Everything here! :) Watch some games with other Dwarves playing. Watch some replays. There are a lot of good teams out there. Check out the majors for some good teams, look in the Dorf XFL currently going on for some long-lived teams and check them out. You can watch some of my Dwarf games. There are better overall Dwarf coaches available but mine are not too bad for some positional play on defense since I rarely give up many scores.

My Dwarf Box team: https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&showmatches=1&team_id=794491
Their worst period of time was when the runner became a legend. After he died, we are decent again. ;-)

AH very good answers :)
Yeah, the runner ended up like a mix since I had 2 of them until game 11 so therefore the strip ball, but if I go with only one runner and in a few games retire this one, where to go with one brand new?
Same "accident" with the slayer, I had 2 of them so I did get stand firm on this one. Mighty blow and guard will come Before but shall I go with two of them anyhow?
And defense....hrm..... I ment offense..... *koff*
Will edit....NOW! ;)

Playing dwarves (as with all teams) you need to be clear about your plan against both agile and bash teams.
Beginners guide:
Against agile teams: Starting with block, tackle, frenzy and sure hands you have all the tools to break agile team's hearts. You need to learn to cage properly and grind to 1-0 on T8 of your drive. In the half you are defending you have to be weary of your lack of movement. You must play a sound positional game to force either an early score so you have time to score back or hold the line. Use your runner(s) as sweepers so you can cope with a break.
Bash teams: AV9, block and thick skull goes a long way to making up for your lack of ST4 or ST5 players. Frenzy is your friend for crowd surfing and remember your Slayers have dauntless which can help take on the 'big boys'. Be aware that you are still slower than your opponent so use your Runner(s) as sweepers so you can cope with a break in these games too.
Skill choices: Guard and Mighty Blow are two of the best skills in the game. Spamming them on Blockers and Blizters will serve you well. Your Runners need block, after that you want perhaps one Leader and then Tackle is okay for when they are on sweeper duty on defence. 1st double is dodge. +MA, ST and AG are golden on Runners. Slayers are hitters so Mighty Blow and Piling on are great.

Everyone will say dwarves are boring but I love them - nobody drinks ale and goes down the mines quite as grumpily as dwarves!

Offense. If the opponent has a kicker and they are an agile team, this can spell disaster if they get a blitz. Dwarfs are just too slow to overcome what they need to do (which is put the line on their butts) and then get to the ball safely with a small screen. You can spread your line out across the whole pitch but still, if they manage a great kick, you are going to be looking at a good number of GFI's on your turn. I would say ~ 75% of my rerolls are used on GFI's with Dwarfs to keep the positional advantage. Position is everything with Dwarfs IMO. Generally speaking I like to put my runner back, a blitzer back in case of a rock/disaster and a slayer for the extra ma. If the opposing team is loaded with high +ma blodgers, I will throw a Lino back there for support. So, yeah, usually 6 of my guys are on the line and 1 wing with guard on each side is back one space in case they roll a perfect D

Runer - buy new one. After 2 no dubles/stats you should change.
Slayer- buy nw one. Mb or guard should be 1st skill.
With dwarfs you have enough cash to cycle playes.

I dont really care so much for the Blitz since I cant really defend against it without losing some much needed punch in the offense. It does not happend that much either EXCEPT the last match it happened Three times against me.
There is actually one thing I fear more, and that is pitch invasion! Against a fast team It prolly cost me the whole game when it happends, but it aint much u can do about it :)
