Nicholas Cage has a hard on for Superman for years. I was always a big fan since a little kid as I share the same last name as 2 Superman Actors. I wore the crud out of a towel cape and a Superman Shirt at a very young age. Supposedly I even punched a Horse stated to it "that I am Superman" at 5 years old. I don't remember it as the horse had some Kryptonite hooves and sent me to the Hospital. True story. :)
Growing older I have turned into a bigger Batman fan. Probably because Ive adapted to a dirty world and can relate better to the Dark Night. An unprotect person trying to make thing perfect. Having read that Frank Miller graphic novel, and its still one of my favourites, I think I know the outcome of the movie. I also hope it does't suck. Cristian Bale, played such a perfect Batman (in my eyes) I don't know if I can envision Affleck as the Role. Much like how I love how mean and dirty Daniel Craig portrays James Bond. I guess I root for the under-handed-dog more than I like to admit. I hope it isn't cartoony, or 1960ish.

oh, and I still like Con Air., and Wind talkers is awesome as well.

The Batman v Superman film hopefully will not suck. It is based on the graphic novel Keggie lists above (One of the best ever imo). I know one juicy nugget. There will be Carrie Kelly as (girl) Robin which is a brave move, but, it gives an even bigger clue that it will all be based around the Dark Knight. I do have my reservations about Affleck though.
All part of the bigger picture to set up the Justice League America movie.
Dear Lord, please don't let Ryan Reynolds be the Green Lantern again.
As far as I can remember, Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob, etc.) was writing the script for the Nicolas Cage batman. Unfortunately/Fortunately it ended not materialising.

Con Air is awesome. Also like Gone in 60 seconds.

Maybe Cage would have been a more interesting Superman. Maybe.
But Superman is as shallow as it can be - even for pop culture.
If i waste my time on watching these kind of movies - Batman wins hands down.
But for me it ended with "The Dark Knight". Well actually with "Batman Begins".
While the movie is okish Bale can be quite pathetic and was even fully supported to do so here.
Val Kilmer was clearly the best Batman and "Batman Returns" the best out of all Batman movies. Closely followed by "Batman Forever".
Amen!
Im not going to watch any new Batman movie unless Woody Allen has directed it.
But give me "Sin City" or "Watchmen" any time over all of these.
Oh and "Con Air" is for mullet people really. Maybe it takes some balls to even mentioning it, but certainly takes a ton of other traits. ^^

Nicolas Cage is terrible actor. Last time he was convincing in any role was about 15 years ago. And he's down right horrible in all of his action movies.

"Closely followed by "Batman Forever":"
That was a joke right? Joel Schumacher almost killed off the whole franchise.

True Fouly, but does 'Batman Forever' now fall into the 'So bad it's good' category?

Aye, Cage is a strange type of actor. He takes a lot of his personality and charisma into the roles. I was all determined to see him as a bad actor really.
But then he got me again with Werner Herzogs remake of "Bad Lieutenant" where i found him very convincing and suited. He can be quite good. 85% of the time isnt tho. ;)
He needs a role that suits him to be allowed to shine a bit.

I'd say no. I was unfortunate enough to watch the worst of the Schumacher movies recently (with my nieces): Batman and Robin. And I must say, it's still one of the worst movies ever made. All it did was piss me off, I never felt close to cracking a smile even.
It's one of the few movies that has actually made me walked out of the theater.

"Batman Forever" has:
1. The best Batman actor so far
2. Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face
3. Jim Carrey as The Riddler/ Edward Nygma
4. Nicole Kidman and Val Kilmer kissing
Who cares about the rest guys? Mullet people!
(Two of the best Batman villains played by a perfect cast. And Batman is all about the characters which are much more subtle than in the other major comic movies/ series! Who cares about the stereotypical framework/ plots of those movies that are always the same anyway? And who cares about franchise? Srsly dont grow a mullet Fouly.)

Horrible script.
Horrible set design.
Horrible visuals.
Robin.
Neon glow.
Joel Schumacher got a lot of big name actors into his movies. And got the worst out of all of them.
Case in point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YywL43-xu8
Now that isn't great, or subtle acting.

Script!? Come on be serious...
Set Design. Aye.
Visuals. Photography? Aye, i think i remember it too be too dynamic and nervous.
Robin. Aye
Neon. Is cool in the dark.
Not so much in this candystore set design we already agreed upon.
So it doesnt shine where its doesnt matter but does where it matters.
Well, ok set design is very important in a Batman movie actually. While i much prefer the dark gloomy design and artistically there was no reason for Schumacher to change it but only economic ones, it still works for me as a package. But yes i give you that as well.
Still it scores where it matters...and also im just right.

Im really interested on how they will portray the Mutant Gang leader. Im pretty sure he has CPOMB. The Robin in it, if they do it right, will be interesting as well.

maybe green arrow will also make an appearance. The prospect of it is exciting. The reality, I hope, will be great.
Suicide squad is also on its way. That, I look forward to!

Suicide squad has all the ingredients to be awesome, please don't mess it up!
