It will be nothing :D
But I would love it if they released the original version again with brand new miniatures

Well, if we're lucky, they will release a new rule set and put us out of date!

A few new rules wouldnt hurt.

If our rule set was out of date I might like it more :)

A complete re-write would be a great thing. for the game anyway. Not so much for Lakrillo and Kalimar.
Luckily it won't be anything.
If it is anything at all it will be that they are re-releasing the teams they currently sell in plastic since they are no longer making anything in white lead anymore.

A complete rewrite would be a great thing? By GW? Are you on drugs?! :)
GW would turn it into Nerdhammer with powercreep and find some way to make it all about the minis. Of course, LRB6 isn't perfect. Infact, there are glaring issues. But ripping it up and starting again would be a disaster far more often than it would improve anything.
I doubt they'd do that, especially with Cyanide having dropped. Although, one of the greatest critisims of the whole Cyanide idea has been that they have nowhere to go, no scope for a sequel, etc. I suppose new rules opens that door.
If this smoke leads to fire, I guess it's a special ed. boxset.

(Bearing in mind, of course, that if you buy a boxset today, it's 3rd Ed, I believe? Perhaps they'll just print LRB6 rules)

i was hoping they might do something like they did for spacehulk a year or two back? wishful thinking maybe

IF they do anything, it would be to create a new boxed set with the latest rules, the latest special play cards and two new sets of plastic miniatures. Maybe even the board will be given a new look. They may try and restart it in their stores etc for the next generation of 15 yr old kids that have never heard of Blood Bowl.
I really doubt that a new set of rules is in the works. That would hardly be big, it has been happening every couple of years already! That would just involve lots of work for little gain. GW want to make money remember.
But that rumor isn't much to go on... :)
