For a more tac-ti-cul version the fouler have to start his move at least 3 squares away from his target. :P

Brasky is the first person I saw that did the foul run up. I try to do it every time, because it is hilarious.

The ones I like best are when a massive and obvious gang foul is set up and then a player already stood by the victim's tackle zone backs up a few squares (like he is taking a free kick)then runs in and boots 'em!

I once ran my MA 6 dirty player 3 squares backwards for the run up foul, then I realised he had been prone! :O

If you run up you may have more momentum in the kick but it would look a bit more obvious so you'd be more likely to get sent off.
I suppose a leap would be similar.

+2 armor roll if you leap into the TZ to make the foul!
Posted by NerdBird on 2014-07-11 16:33:14
But your player is placed prone.

I love the flying pile-on foul idea (+2 armour) but you should need leap, pile-on and dirty player to do it.

Sometimes the stutter step is called for.
Forward, backward, fake, forward, backward, fake, forward, backward, FOUL!

I only ever foul when I've got enough movement to do the konami code.
Posted by keggiemckill on 2014-07-11 19:54:21
Does anyone know who started it?

@overhamsteren: lol, would have been better if you could have made it with 2 GFI and then fail into RIP :)

Fouls should get +1 to the AV/Injury roll per turn remaining. That would discourage to t16 foul.

Would it really, Kam? Or was that tongue-in-cheek humor?

@m0gw41: eddie guerrero's frog splash? :D
Posted by Kam on 2014-07-12 04:10:18
@ Cavetroll: there would be no player left by t16, so yes, it definitely would.

+1
Didn't 2nd edition have "spearing" where it was, in effect, Piling On but for fouls?!!? Could've sworn that was a rule somewhere... bring THAT shit back...

Dirty Kick, dirty tackle, Mighty Blow level 4, reroll's to armour and injury
unlimited rr's per turn, spies assassins, and the most important of all, first to 2 wins.
Bloodbowl is sooooooo much softer now than it used to be.
Good old 2nd Ed rules.

I started doing the run-up foul after being inspired by "TheSpoonyBard" leaping dp fouling troll, back in LRB 4.
Since then, I figure a good foul requires a running start.
