Alcohol = smart!
It's like this: Take a herd of wild animals right? They can only move as fast as the slowest animal. Therefore, when they are hunted it is the slowest and weakest animals at the back which get killed. This natural selection helps the herd, improving the overall speed and wellbeing of the group.
The human brain works in much the same way, we can only think as fast as our slowest brain cells. When we drink alcohol, as we all know, it kills brain cells. Naturally, it kills the slowest and weakest brain cells first, allowing the brain to think faster overall.
This explains why you always feel smarter after a few beers :)

Well I can only speak for men, but the times my brain works quickest is when there is women, party or sport involved. It moves slowest when there's conversations about feelings, chick flicks or elfbowl. I wouldn't mind losing the capacity to process those.

And actually alcohol does not kill braincells but weaken the synapses. So your theory is flawed =)
