Its odd how these things come around, after the game before last I was contemplating that I might have won a couple on the trot so I checked. Yes 4 in a row, I had only done that once or twice so far and each time I flunked it. So I decided that this time would be different, I would cherry-pick till my eyes popped from their sockets, I would find the skaven with no gutters looking for a recovery game, the game against 3 halflings with a limp, the game of reroll-less amazons against dorfs with ag5 – anything to win this game.

Well the fated day arrived and the initial offers were all will your humans play my chaos, my necros – now as much confidence as I have in the Carneval I did not want to play this game with them.

In the end I agree to play an inexperienced Chaos with my rookie Dark Elves and I can only NUFFLE be praised, I was KO’ing Beastmen and Chaos Warriors left, right & centre and some more. My luck was amazing, no skill required just luck everywhere. I kept it rolling gently and took a 1:0 lead into the 2nd half where I would receive the initial kickoff.

I was excited: “All I have to do is hold the ball and score once.” I started off poorly and followed up the wrong blocks. Needless to say the second half got interesting – I did manage to hold on in the end but not without me suffering endlessly making more mistakes and maxpain finally having some fun.

My thanks here to him, he was a great sport throughout a terrible first half.
