Personal comments on CRP.
I've seen a lot of this is OP and so is that....but all in all I think this game is more balanced than it ever was.

The main problem with the game I see with it at the moment is how on Cyanide's public leagues and also FUMBBL's Box, is the pairing system. That's not the games fault either, that's other people making the problem. Let me explain further...

The way this game is designed has produced teams where each one has a sweet spot. Some have it easier getting to that spot others harder, but all teams have them, even teams like goblins and halflings. Now we add in the TV matching system and it just highlights this so called problem. As Galak has said before, the game was never designed to be played through TV pairing, more of an ELO system, and inducements were supposed to be used.

And then we get onto the topic of people complaining about people abusing the TV pairing system but that's just it, the system is at fault not the game, because it wasn't intended to be played like that. TV pairing has created the problem, so fix that instead of trying to justify that the game is at fault. The real fair playing field is in a perpetual league, TV trimming won't ever win you titles in those because gaining skills and stats outweighs inducements in value.

The reason why I love this game at the moment so much, is that pretty much every team has a counter, even the cheap maurauder teams, Amazons & Norse come to mind fairly quickly.

Yes, I don't like people which just make teams to go out and kill other players, but that is Bloodbowl for you, in that world you get races like Chaos and Orcs and i don't think they'll know what to do with the ball if those races existed, and would probably laugh at us if they saw how we played Football, someone falls over, game is stopped for 5mins...then they carry on. Fun, fun.

Calling those coaches which make those killer teams griefers is pretty hypocritical, since you're playing a game called BLOODbowl, nothing is stopping you from making those teams either, so who are you to tell how one should play this game, when the game itself allows it?

Anyway, that's my blog for the week, enjoy.

tl;dr, take the game as it is, it's not perfect but will never be, either play and enjoy or move onto something else.

Pairing system or not. The flaws of CRP are obvious and could've been prevented

What are these so called flaws?

Like I said, it's still a FUMBBL/Cyanide problem from what I see, if you pair by something which isn't TV, then you won't get teams sitting on their sweet spot because you won't know who your next opponent is.

Most obvious
- Making PO imbalanced by nerfing DP to death.
- Allowing PO to reroll injury roll.
- Allowing to stack MB/Claw.
- Spiral expenses based on TV and not on SPP.

There are counters to those skills and teams. If that guy is getting killer skills then he isn't getting skills like guard, wrestle or dodge/tackle, grab and SS.

Fouling is still affective, being able to do a MB hit on the guy without having to use block dice, and using my cheap line fodder to do it, there could be massive gain. It's just fouling isn't the main strategy now and could bite you in the arse like any other.

You now pay only for the skills you get, I see nothing wrong with that. You can now still play with that experienced team you had which got wrecked in a match. Because your remaining star players aren't bloating you down like they would have done in earlier editions.

lol counters, yeah... You get a few players with some counter skills, and see the rest of your team flying of the pitch.

Fouling is not effective. The risk versus reward is far from being good, which makes PO imbalanced as there is no risk of getting fouled to death.

Players dying doesn't matter if you win the match...

And you don't need to kill players with fouls, sometimes just a stun does the job for the next turn.

I can't choose whether you "whining" on a pairing system or you want protect some killers with MB / PO.
I can compare this client to lrb4 and in lrb4 has been PO skill too, but not such effective.

People are very practicals, if something is working then they buying this. In lrb4 PO it's a waste of skillslot, in ffb it's a lethal weapon.

You are right, players dying because it's a bloodbowl, but now winning match isn't depending from good positioning anymore, but from 3 PO / MB players, and who will do more casualties. For me it's not fairly match. It's almost boring if i see second half 4 vs 5 players.

btw i'm laughing if i see PO / MB killer with fend skill. It looks like, i will pille on you and will be fun, but you will not because it's not fun anymore if you pille on me.

All you have to do now is finding a quotation where someone has actually claimed that killer team coaches were griefers.

As you probably won't be able to find even one meager quote to support your statement, the only hypocrite here is you.
