Aldorf Thunderbolts press conference
The scene: a crowded press room at the BAE systems arena full of journalists.
Coach Seventyone(71), Jarod Mayo (JM) and Brock Osweiler (BO) move up to the main desk and take their seats. All as decked out in Thunderbolt team strip.
Reporter 1: So Jarod, we assumed that having grown up in the Patriot system you would be there for life. How do you feel about being traded away?
JM: Obviously I'm not happy but it is clear from my contract that I am much more valued here and I will take out any grudges on the field of play not in this forum. I will say that I feel I did a good job for the Patriots and their name seems a little ironic now...
Reporter 1: Do you think the Thunderbolts fans will accept you Jarod after playing for their hated rivals for so long?
71 (interrupts): Of course they will: Thunderbolts fans love a big hit and that is exactly what Jarod provides. No further questions on this topic will be answered.
Reporter 2: It seems a brave move coach 71 to trade a away such a high pick for such a common player.
71: Jarod may look common but he is almost unique. He he highly skilled in dealing out pain and can also help out his team mates as necessary. There was no player like him in the draft pool ad he is close to gaining another skill. He was and is totally worth it.
Reporter 3: So Brock, do you feel like you are cursed? The Thunderbolts have have three dead Quarterbacks already including the man many predicted to be the star of DLE, Jerry "Rev" Harris.
BO: No one told me this, coach can i have a word?
71: No: you will be fine, ignore them!
Reporter 4: Any truth in the rumors of a new kit sponsor?
71: Hell yeah! We are proud to announce a new partnership with under(world) armour. These guys make their gear with real warpstone, which not only protects you from injury but also has powerful deodorising properties. Several of our players will be sporting their newest (and so far experimental) kit: this gives them extra speed and/or extra protection from blocks and fouls. Be aware, wear under(world) armour ware!
