Final weight loss update
Well due to a slight knee injury I ended up on 97.5 kg, so i did not quite make my target. This means $80 donated to FUMBBL: will be doing that ASAP (Edit: done!). Sadly this also lets Ben_awesome off the hook a little, but there you go. I'd still like to get under 95kg however and am hopeful that now i am on holiday from my main job i will be able to push on: currently i am cycling rather than running however.

I hope everyone else with a weight loss target makes their goal and I might start this up again in September...

I really appreciate all the positive comments i got from the site: it really helped!

Great job, congratulations!

It might be of interest to you to look into forefoot running, which has growing evidence for vastly lower rates of musculoskeletal injury. It needs to be started slowly and gently however, paying attention to developing the right technique, as it requires quite different muscles to do some of the work and calf strains as well as plantar fasciitis can occur (as they can with regular running). Ultimately though it will allow you to keep running healthily for much longer (of your lifetime and likely on individual runs).

Forefoot running is interesting but the science behind it isn't great. Science for anything to do with running isn't great though! The sport science podcast with Ross Tucker did a really good episode on this
