Kickstarter game project + FUMBBL fundraising
Hey, all!
Some of you may be aware that –– in addition to using Lizards to wreck Chaos face –– I also do graphic design and development in the field of tabletop gaming.
Last October, I started my own game company (Lost Boys Productions), and it is with some pride also and anxiety that I announce that the first project from this little start-up is now seeking funding on Kickstarter. (This is also the first game that I have designed in its entirety.)
The Game:
I, Spy is a cerebral contest of bluffing, misdirection and strategy, set in the early days of European espionage, just prior to the first World War.

However, you are also probably aware, this is not the only fundraising event going on right now.
FUMBBL is also in need of your help to keep its perpetually laboring servers in good repair. So, for members of the FUMBBL community (anyone who is active in the forums or has played some games here), I offer an extra incentive, which is this:
••• For every $30 invested by a FUMBBL user ($37 will get you a copy of the game), I will see to it that $1 is donated to FUMBBL. •••
When making the donation, simply add your FUMBBL username to the message section and we'll see to it that the money gets where it's going.
In addition to this announcement, I'm happy to use this blog to answer any questions about any aspect of the game or this project.
I would love to get the support of the FUMBBL community, and would love to get this game produced and into your hands, as it is really tons of fun!

I would also like to add that I regret that I couldn't secure a larger amount, but for what it's worth –– with factoring in shipping, manufacturing, and other expenses –– the donation requested to get a copy of the game doesn't even come close to covering the costs involved and we're already taking a significant loss. However, as this is my first design, and the first release from my little company, I wanted to ensure that it is affordable. Still, convincing my colleagues to $1 of 30 was already an uphill battle.

Unfortunately, there was no easy "US + Canada" option in Kickstarter rewards construction.
However, I will triple the donation to FUMBBL on your behalf, as (I'm guessing here) I don't expect the shipping to Canada will be quite as expensive.

A shame the shipping adds so much overseas.
The game sounds cool, and the artwork style is nice. I agree with you on the interaction part. I haven't quite made up my mind yet, but did post the ks link on an Amsterdam boardgame club (250 members).
