Lack of Diversity
Recently I have been looking at the games taking in place in the so called 'Competitive' division. The appalling lack of racial diversity is finally starting to get to me. I know it is a sore point that rears its ugly head quite often but I finally have to speak up. We as a community hate the lack of diversity and should seek to stamp it out at every opportunity.
From my limited research (i.e. every time i look at the games page) it seems that at least 1 in 3 teams involved in a game is an elf team. Oh I forgot to mention I am talking about ranked of course. There are only 4 out of 22 teams that are elves, so why do we allow this blatant bias towards pointy ears? I think people in Ranked should be forced to play as chaos or dwarves to increases the diversity of a so called competitive division. What do you guys think?

Heh, you must be looking at different times of day than I do. I put elves up on GF and hardly get any offers. My own DE have been turned down by Orcs, Chaos, and Nurgle. Above TV1900 it's hard to even find an elf team available to play.

I think that there is the above mentioned group of competitive bashers, and a group of elves teams. At least these 2 groups are perceived as viable.
I think the question is what to do with goblins, ogres, vampires, slanns, etc to make competitive enough.
I dont want to force anyone to play with anything. Chosing a race is part of the fun. However i beleive there is no power balance between all teams available.

It's not my fault. I am awaiting Skyrim, and therefore visiting forums related to it. Forums outside fumbbl (and inside to an extent) are so full of trolls that i had to let a little trollness out myself.
It does make me chuckle that i baited a few people enough for them to read the blog though. Even more so that some people seem to be taking it seriously. Hmm.... Maybe I am turning into one of those very trolls that i have grown to hate :(

Lack of Diversity* is caused by their success on the British TV show in which they won national acclaim, this has lead to being far to busy and thus the appearance that they are Lacking from any publicity. I feel that if we encouraged more "Street" performances the evident unfulfilled appetite would be sated and crys against the Lack of Diversity would be fewer.
