My next game was against the Moonlight Massacer Vampire team.

I have played this team once before with my original Queens of the Ring - and I remember enjoying that game - so when I saw Aisha1 was on earlier today I immediatly offered a match and they accepted.

I think the match was a good one - but then again I would say that because this was my FIRST WIN!!!!
I have to say though it was very close - with a first half spent defending from the kick to the end of the half.

Aisha1 caged very well and moved the cage away from my first defensive effort and only by luck did I manage to direct it back and then eventually stop it with the ball three squares from scoring being held by a strength 4, AG 5 vamp who had just passed 3 dodge rolls to get out from a defensive trap. I was very impressed.

In the second half I set up a cage (as usual) and tried to move it forward. It stalled and I lost the ball twice and was lucky both times to get it back. I then rushed the ball forward and formed a second cage in front of the first one. This I used to break out and then used a Blitzer to Pass the ball to a linewoman to score in my T7.

The return kick off could have cost me the win, but morre of that in a minute, suffice to say that a whole heap of luck meant that it didnt.

What have i learnt from this game?

I could have ended this game with another draw had it not been some exceptional luck on my behalf and bad luck on my opponants.

He had 9 players left at thus point and I set up thinking that in 2 turns he would not be abel to do much.
5 players on the centre LOS, 1 player in each of the wide zones and 4 in the back field. Aisha1 concentrated the players on one side and with a bad kick he gave the ball to the Thrall at the front. He simply ran past my single wide player and had he not failed his GFI attempt he would have been within scoring range with the heavy hitting Vamp as backup.

He did fail and he fell. I then made another mistake and tried to take out the Vamp from helping and also failed my GFI instead of recovering the ball.

The vampire ran through and picked the ball but could not move any further thankfully and no one else was close enough to help.

So I have learnt never lose concentration and ensure that even in the last turns make sure you can try and stop a score if needed.

Team Development

Well no player earnt enough SPP's to progress a skill level, but thats not the full story.

Brittany Hart - Blitzer Continued her rampage and notched up another two casulties. after the last game I picked MIGHTY BLOW as her skill up for the rason that a lot of the Armour rolls and Injury Rolls were coming up one short.
She used MB on the armour of Token -Thrall twice, stuning him and then BH them.
Helpless Peasant - Thrall was SI when the MB was applied to the Injury Roll.

So i think that justified the taking of that skill.

Owena Hart- Blitzer also took out a player for her first SPP's.

Waynetta "The Rock" Johnson- Lineman Took the VP for making 2 blocks.

Mrs Perfect Scored the TD and Davina "Bristish Bulldog" Smith - Blitzer made the pass.

No other players scored SPP's.
